Both car are really fun. They have 4 all togther. But, it eally dosent matter. You just wanna be lucky to get in one. Honestly, its the most amazing ride in the world. 45 stories high, 128 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds... its crazy. lol I went on it twice and it was really fun.

No, but I have been on Dragster at Cedar Point back in 2003 (the opening year) when it did. As there pretty much the exact same ride, im pretty sure that it would be the exact same feeling.

Its at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. They also have pretty much the same ride at Cedar Point Ohio called Top Thrill Dragster, only Dragster is 36ft lower and around 8mph slower. But you dont notice that in all honesty when your actually on them.

Judging from how slow it was climbing the hill I would say the ride E-stoped towards the end of the launch causing the speed of the train to decrease resulting in the train rolling back.

When I went on TTD it was much more reliable. It didn't break down once. When I was on line for Kingda Ka it broke down twice. Once when I was 6th for the front then another right when I was at the gate =O. Then it shutdown for like 2 hours like 15 minutes after I got off. Still my favorite coaster though.

Top Thrill Dragster got built through out the winter of 2002 and opened 2003. Kingda Ka Opened in 2005. TTD could not have 'copied' KK because it was built 3 years before it !! TTD I have to say is the better ride of the two. KK is awesome as well, but TTD has a better restraint system and seems so much smoother (due to no vibration). But your right about the stats. The only thing your not taking into account is over launches that can push the top speed of both coasters up by between 7-8mph.

you're right about the restraints, TTD's restraints are a lot cooler, it makes the drop seem scarier than Kingda Ka's because there's less holding you in. I still like Kingda Ka better though, the airtime hill at the end is so awesome, you can barely keep your eyes open, the final stretch on TTD seems boring to me =O.

Afraid not. Its 127mph. Thats the official speed. Look on RCDB. This has the stats and speeds of all coasters in the world. It will probably reach 130mph with an overlaunch as TTD reaches 126/127mph with an overlaunch. KK is pretty rough if your not in the front cars though Dragster321. Its not Vekoma coasters rough, but its a lot rougher than TTD. Ive been on both, and TTD is the much better ride all round. Everything about it is better.

The front row is as smooth as glass. The wind keeps your head against the headrest and prevents head rattling. Definately ride in the front for the best ride possible on KK.

Kingda Ka is faster and higher. I have not rode it, but opinion seems to be mixed as to which is better.I dont mind a bit of roughness if it means I get higher and faster, & im sure it cant be that bad. Not as bad as you are saying anyhow. I have ridden a lot of other Intamin rollercoasters including Dragster, & every one has been butter smooth. When your getting onto 130mph in speed, you have got to expect a little vibration. But again a great video. I have not seen Kingda Ka rollback before !!

Man, it nowhere near makes it over the top !! I have to say that while KK is good, its just not as good as TTD. You cant tell its any higher or faster than TTD (7mph is nothing when your already going 120mph), and the shaky launch that wobbles and vibrates combined with those OSR's that you whack you face into when going through that twist on the way down just take away from it. Maybe with better cars it would shine, but you shouldn't have to sit in the front 3 cars to get a painless ride.
