The idea that a star is born on the streets could have panned out over several seasons. But the hook of a bunch of kid mick brothers taking over the neighborhood ran by old school Italians was a s good as it was gonna get - after that it becomes just another generic mafia story. Broad doesn't get you seasons.
I think it would have had a more successful life as a feature film. NBC obviously felt the same.

Great show but WTF at all the techno playing? In the original airing they played these awesome Celtic-rock type songs that just went perfectly with the Irish feel of the whole show.
I know man I was soooo mad. They decided to cancel it for a stupid reality show where they pull pranks on people who are getting married. One of the worst things they did, sh** I still remember the night I watched the pilot.
