I am amazed and impressed at how well he communicated using signs. But I am a mother who never had an infant...My daughter was 2 yrs old when I became her mom so I dont know when they usually talk clearly... How beneficial is baby sign? Or is it just for additional learning less than communicating really?
Thank you for your kind words. Besides just having a baby who could communicate with us, now that Owen is older we are seeing more benefits, even now, from teaching him sign language. At the time of the video, Owen was 12 months and his physician remarked that he had the verbal language skills of an 18 month. He's now two and he speaks as well as a three year old. What's funny is that he hardly ever uses sign language anymore because he speaks so well!
that is so amazing i know a lot of sign language but not that quick you guys must be very proud of your son
