Do any of you use the purple florescents they use in nurseries? I used to have mucho success w/them. Way less power than hallide or HPS and less heat to show up on the man's infrared. With CO2, I got heavy yields but it took me 2-3 months.

Take a box.... Take some mylar( tin foil for the broke ) coat the inside DULL side showing. there you have it.

Put in your lights however based on the fixture.

dont use hid on a setup like this, stick to CFL

room temp. no more not too much less. also If you are just getting started then just make sure that the waters PH balance is between 5.5 and 6.5 and make sure it stays that way if your not using hydroponics (hydro is soo much easier to control) then make sure your soil is between the same PH level. distilled water will always have the right ph balance.

try LED lighting its cheaper provide more lumens per watt and gennerally generate less heat unless some dusch sold you LED packed in without any heat disipater... will save you loads on electricity and maintain room temp easier

Watts? Ijust found 400's!!!!!!!!!!!Im pretty sure they just came out? I went to several store just to find 300's with no luck. I was about to give up, but stopped at a light store and they had 400's. "daylight" right in the mid spectrum. Im going to add 2 100 watt blue and 2 100 watt red once they get a little more mature. The 400 is too much light for first 2 weeks. The ends will start to curl under with too much light. I'm very happy. just as good as 400 hps IMO! but safe,cheap

we use bubble wrap painted with metallic silver for our lining , when the light hits the bubbles it shoots of in a very broad spectrum as opposed to the traditional lining where you get hotspots . :)

Ya, im using a 46 w CFL (same as 150w halogen) getting 2700 lumens in a 100w max desk lamp. the lamp is useful for the lil guys early on because its extremely adjustable.

and for olm units question a 26watt cfl is the same as a 100watt halogen bulb and btw he couldn't put a actual 100 watt cfl in the desk lamp he would have burned down his house by now

Ice420 crusher mirrors are actually one of the worst things you can use to grow weed, dont believe me do some research. Mylar is the best proven reflecive material for reflecting lumens back to the plant.

It may be that it just wasnt shown....but it wouldnt be a bad idea to put a fan on the bad bitch to simulate a natural breeze. Helps to insure A nice strong plant.

looks decent but you will get very little off of that plant. next time before you put it into flower i would top it or use LST as christy suggested. also if you had more space even super croping also did u take any clones?
