I would prefer it if the title is translated as "The Golden People". It sounds a lot more impressive and majestic. Connotation of the word "yellow" in English is kind of not very nice.

@Shaolinkungfucat Now now. Yellow in the Chinese culture was a very good thing. Before the Qin Dynasty ended, the color yellow was only allowed for Emperors to wear. So when you think about it, Nick meant that we are special people and not literally the color of our skin. So I have no idea why you're so angry about. Listen to the rest of the lyrics. This is a beautiful and inspiring song.

As for the "white race" I don't think it would be such a scandal for a white person to sing about his/her people and heritage if "white" people wouldn't be so overrepresented when it comes to violence, e.g. WW1&2 and the discovery of America and so on. Everyone has an equal right to be proud and represent their people, to a certain extent
