@gasness1 It is Guru Nanak saying as a worshipper of God.
Although Guru was God or God was Guru, this is what sets sikhi apart from all other faiths. Guru Nanak and all other Gurus and Bhagats in SGGS wrote the bani as worshippers and did not proclaim to be the way to God.
