Great Video- thank you for being so detailed in your discription of what you're doing and what's taking place with the flashback arrestor. I'm in the first stages of learning how to use this technology and safety is a top priority :) Thank's a million :)
No have tried it, and failed for proper flash back arresting. You must find fine bronze wool, or a fine fish-air-stone, possibly even a cigarette filter.
I like that Flash Back Arrestor good work.I just want to know Where can I buy Just the Grey Hydrogen Cell box and how much will it be. Thank you. Bye for now
hey bro instead of cotton, you should use fiberglass weave. cut it into discs and layer them, either a couple cm of fiberglass and the rest the brass wool or a layer of fiber glass and a layer of wool one after the other. try it and tell me what you think. its will keep you from always having to wet that cotton. =)
I don't understand how it works but since we're on the issue of safety, if I were to use a bubbler, how would I keep it from letting water into my engine, could I use the same design but with cotton to soak up water?
Also, can someone explain how a bubbler works as a flash back arrestor, what is flash back, and when using it in a car, why do people have diff. valves and stuff for where it goes into the engine. intake, etc. for what purpose and whether or not I could just leave a constant flow
I also forgot, can the plates and water heat up untill if flashes to steam and ceases to work?
And how would you keep the generator from having a melt down? Less amps means it runs cooler right? And I've heard that the more neutral plates in between the charged plates lowers the amps and thus the heat.
flashback is when the flame travels back through the tube to the tank and could cause and explosion because of the hydrogen and oxygen gas. The flashback arrestor stops this so you do not get that.
well if you were gonna keep this wet with a timer i would go with a drip loop instead....keeps it consistently moist and real cheap from a pet store...not sure if this is still an issue though
Just out of curiousity, wouldnt a filter like for a fish tank work just as well, or better? for steel wool, ive found it can melt down from the flame, I havent worked with bronze wool, dont know much about it.. but wouldnt it melt down the wool after so many flashbacks?
Yea this concept and design will be tested further once I get a true gas producer for larger amounts of gas. So again, at that point it might be that 'life saver' you speak of.
What you have forgotten, was to turn off the cell at the same time you have a flame on. That is to say as long as you have presher pushing out, the flame will not go back up into the cell.
I agree. As long as there is outward pressure there is a burn. Flashback happens when the gas flow is stopped. To demonstrate, get a continuous burn going, then try to pull the hose off of your cell. You can not do it fast enough to stop a flashback - without an arrestor. The flash speed of hho is 900 feet per second.
hey umm i reall really really really really need on of them i had a little flame today it was running good then it blew up my bubbler and i tride makeing a flash back thing it worked for a bit then it broke it dousent work would u sell on please ;-)
Hello, I live in the desert and cannot find bronze wool, so I used exhaust wrap in place of the wool. It does not burn and works very well if you dampen it. I have had great success with it. Keep up the good work.
Sir Hoax thanks for posting this , I already had 2 explosions on my cell due to flash back, its really a great help. Can you please point me to someone using HHO on diesel engine?, because I have one installed on my diesel engine ang Im getting a lot of white smoke.Thanks.
cheaper than that you could show the little peice of wool in the clear tube stopping the flash without the pvc arrestor. its nothing cool really. it does the same popping thing that the improved pvc arrestor does.

Why not just all bronze wool?
What does the vinegar do?
Should I have one of these if I put an HHO electrolyzer system in my car?

Thanks for this info, seriously it could well be a life saver for one of us inventive types.

It would be even more interesting if your pvc were transparent.
Great Job

btw I love this easy to build pvc arrestor you've shown. Must have for all of us. great vids bud.

Works great, I think you are pulling a vacuum on your cell with the arrestor thats why the water keeps getting worse.

Think the HHO-Cell was overheating, and it was over filled to begin with. The 'brute force' electrolysis is only for testing.
