If your looking for a good vintage "shop-vac" look for a Sanitaire Industrial vacuums. They are made of entirely metal, no plastic at all, they are just like this except thay included a power head with their famous Vibra-Groomer brushroll, and they are built to wear like iron! I saw one on Pittsburgh Craigslist a while back. I wonder if it's still there...

Shop-Vac is the actual brand. I bought this at Lowes.
