  • Anyone know how to get the text script of this broadcast? ( rather than listening and typing it out?) Thanks

  • VOTE UKIP :)

  • They should say to the Speaker of the European Parliament when he tries to shut up the opposition: "Have you no shame sir?! Have you no shame? How dare you treat an elected representative of the people in a democratic institution with contempt? How dare you?! Have you no shame? Accountability is the very foundation of democracy, and so is criticism and skepticism!

  • that bully their businesses into bankruptcy? So why is it that so many middle Englanders support a party who will commit the fatal error of regarding a small business man's interests as being the same as the shareholders of Santander? Now how exactly are UKIP going to change anything while carrying on with the same old framework? Please read my comments first-a "NeoCom" wouldn't be so c oncerned about small businesses or a truly COMPETITIVE economy as I am.

  • OK, you are now hogging these posts and I'm sure you'll be able to save the planet on your own.

    Bye Bye....

  • grocer to be equal? Cut taxes for Santander and do you really think the local cab firm or hair dressers will benefit? As for viable solutions other than nuclear power ever heard of ethanol fuel? Brazil are already streets ahead in this field and it contribute alot to their economy. Where is UKIP on this? As for your comment about bankers and politicians I think that just proves my point that Mr Farage would be a much needed friend.

  • @zola253109 Spoken like a true NeoCom.

The politics of envy are clouding your judgement and if you want everything on the same level go live in North Korea.

  • I have to say I am no fan of the European Union and that it has done more damage to our economy than it has good BUT when we do pull out, when we do cut all ties with our neighbours (which is what will have to happen unless the EU ceases to exist) what would Mr Farage do with our economy? I look at UKIP economic policy and after reading around the obvious Euro bashing all I see is something very similar to New Labour/Tory policy. In fact, Farage has been less than harsh in tone to bankers.

  • @zola253109 Learn to read

  • Very convincing retort there. 'Learn to read' is really a little childish is it not? I'm not anti UKIP's message. I just get the impression from their statements and their policies that they are a bit of a one trick pony. I mean look at their policies; scrap inheritance tax, introduce a flat rate of income tax, supporting TWO failed wars, cutting taxes for the City and no real solutions to the way we get our energy aside from nuclear energy. Seriously what is the difference?

  • "supporting TWO failed wars" - Where did this come from?

"introduce a flat rate of income tax" - Which of the establishment parties have this fantastic policy?

"nuclear energy" - At the present moment what are the serious alternatives?

"cutting taxes for the City" - Not just for the City but all businesses. We need to generate wealth to reduce our debt.

"tone to bankers" - The bankers did what the politicians wanted and it all started to go wrong with Clinton's Community Reinvestment Act

  • all the EU has done for Britain is create huge immigration problems, financial problems and energy problems

  • It's disturbing to me that in this day and age our government will just give away it's elected power to unelected foreigners, it's completely undemocratic and already these unelected people are making most of our laws. Do people not realise how much of an injustice that is? Who governs us is the decision of the general public. That's what democracy is. Vote UKIP.

  • To hell with the main parties. I have lost all faith in them after the expenses scandal. Neither do I support the worrying extremism exhibited by the BNP. UKIP sounds a lot more viable though. The EU is petty and fractured, and we need out. The UK is where democracy was born - we can put the EU to shame if we get people who are truly concerned for their country into power.

  • that is shocking and true!

vote ukip for whatever hopefully there leader will be in number 10

  • :-D Everyone vote UKIP!

  • Im voting for UKIP and frankly it disgusts me that the BNP now have seats.

  • It shouldn't disgust you, Many, increasing amount of people are fed up with immigration levels, increase of mosques being built etc. This is England, we shall fight for this country and it's culture. But i will vote UKIP or the English democrats come elections

  • they havent even used them...

well only once for a publicity stunt

  • Hmm, can't say I agree with much of this video. I want to be in the EU and the euro, and I want our UK government to make sure we get a good deal, pull our weight and hold Brussels to account, not wimp out and give up.

The EU is happening whether we're in it or not. We need to shape it and be heard.

Brits have visa free travel and can work anywhere in the EU... that's freedom. We get a British euro with the queen on the coins as usual if we join it. Holidays will be simpler too :)

  • You are of the Hague school of "In Europe not run by Europe". Please explain in not more than a paragraph how this has worked?

Your thinking on the currency is simple to the extreme.

It's because we aren't in the Euro that we are more able to cope in the present economic predicament . Spain is now in depression because of membership of the Euro.

  • 'Our UK government'?? your fucking French!!-idiot.

  • Yeah lets blame the EU for all our problems,

    NHS sucks? blame the EU!

    Immigration? blame the EU!

The EU gives us nothing good and is only bad! Lets make a whole political party aimed at reducing complex issues into a one-sided rant.

The whole preventing another world war, the protection and nurturing of Eastern Europe, the free market, the cooperation fighting terrorism. Ah that doesn't happen right?

  • You have a short memory. It was Reagan, Thatcher and Gorbachev who brought those things about, not the EU.

  • The same Thatcher who said said:

Britain does not dream of some cosy, isolated existence on the fringes of the European Community. Our destiny is in Europe, as part of the Community!"??!

Thatcher was a woman who knew we were stronger inside the now "EU", fighting our corner, than out on the sidelines, fundamentally sidelined and marginalised.

A UKIP Webmaster who speaks out in favour of the "Iron Lady!?!?! Oh my days!

  • You are now referring to something else entirely; but yes initially Thatcher was in favour and even campaigned for a 'common market'. She subsequently changed her mind when she saw what it had turned into.

  • thatcher was a bitch.

  • Thats some cunning question dodging there.

  • the European Union has NOTHING to do with the free market. It hinders the free market.

  • Only by being in the EU can we prevent another world war, cooperate to fight terrorism, have a free market??? get real! And as for 'nurturing eastern Europe'-WTF!!

  • What? No my friend NATO can do that - the EU will jus waste our money and over crowd Great Britain.

My Farage if u read this get in2 power and sort this country out 4 god'd sake be4 its 2 late.

  • UKIP is allright actually

  • ukip say the same old thaing. blah, blah blah.

what will happen if we leave the european union? They don't say that!

  • I tell you what will happen.

In your case your world will fall apart.

For the rest of us it'll be the best thing since V-E Day.

  • Wow, im supirsed you had the brain power to write this comment.

    Well done!!!!

  • dont dare talk to him look we spend more hosptials more money spent on our miltary we can do so much more trade its just sad that some brits have forgot what "FOR QUEEN AND COUNTRY" mean i thought i lived patriotic country dont sell out your country for an corporation that we fought off for years just so we could say were british and this is our island youl never take it from us

  • Well, that was a load of shit............

  • BRITAIN FOREVER EUROPE NEVER

  • the 3 main partys cant be trusted

  • i hate the mainstream parties its the reason why our country is in serious economic trouble and why the BNP got in parliament

    that was a total disaster

  • Parties like this stick 2 fingers up to the political establishment and a re worth voting for. I work in the public sector and am pissed off with EU regulations and pointless red tape that is dreamt up by Nu Lab creeps.

  • I'm sceptical about politicians behaviour once they are allowed to benefit the power privileges. Well, I'm sceptical about politicians at all...I've noticed that the UKIP has a strong "moral" position...I hope for you supporters that, once in Bruxelles, they won't deny themselves...

  • The EU will give a huge amount of money to these people during their well paid stay in the "anti-democratic" European Parliament...In practice, they're building themselves a quiet old age, taking advantage of the "corrupted" and "wrongful" EU system...It's so funny. And it's so contradictory.

  • Agreed - So you must agree that UKIP's position of doing themselves out of a job with the rest of the MEPs is the right one?

  • Why is socialism so popular in Europe? Really, didn't we Americans and Europeans fight and die defeating socialism in WWII? Our grandfathers died in war just so we can embrace the enemy? Screw the EU, remove the cancer of islam and, embrace conservative values. It's a tough fight but I think it's the only way for survival.

  • European socialism is far different from soviet socialism - that was called communism infact. Socialism in western Europe is a centreleft force quite similiar to the American Democratic Party.

  • Really?

  • The European social democratic model has nothing to do with soviet communism. In the soviet union private property was abolished, in Europe it is protected. In the soviet union one couldn't start a business of his own will. In Europe you can although in SOME countries like France and Italy there are more bureaucratic obstacles (but this doesn't mean you can't. Just think of the french car industry and the italian fashion and food industry)

  • I understand why many people don't like the EU and I understand that there is a democratic deficit, but really, comparing it to the Soviet Union is too much. Ask a Marxist what he thinks of the EU and he will tell you that it is too free-market oriented, too capitalist, too conservative etc...

  • "Ask a Marxist what he thinks of the EU"

I think Barroso loves it don't you?

  • A person who studied Economics at Georgetown University in Washington, the capital of the most capitalist country on earth and who was the president of the most pro-american government Portugal has ever had is hardly a Marxist. The only party in Ireland campaigning for a No vote was a COMMUNIST party called Sinn Fein who thinks the EU is too free-market oriented. Just get over it.

  • I think you should google Barroso and find out what he got up to when he was younger. He's similar to Gordon Brown and a leopard doesn't change its' spots.

  • One thing is to say the EU has a democratic deficit. I agree. Another thing is to say that the EU is the Soviet Union. If you were living in the USSR you couldn't OWN your house, you couldn't OWN your car, you couln't START a business, you couldn't publish anti-USSR videos on the internet and you would have soldiers breaking into your house to seize your computer. You're just a demagogue, nothing more.

  • good job on picking up 4 seats in the EU, us freedom loving yanks are proud!

  • Stuff the EU. Keep Britain in Britain!

  • Rubbish

  • We voted UKIP for the first time on the 4th June 2009 because we realized UKIP had the right policies for us. Unfortunately most voters don't look past the main 3 parties and have no understanding of the EU or how serious the immigration problem is.

For the truth about immigration see the independent website supplied by Sir Andrew Green....just search on google for ....

    ..........MIGRATIONWATCH

  • Well, after much researching and asking questions, I know who I'll be voting for in future. Lets get the hell out of Europe and get the UK back to how it should be.

  • Comment removed

  • @ RonPaulRevolution4u: well said

  • Go UKIP!!!

  • Post-democratic Europe :

74% of Germans don't want the EU to be given more power !

A MAJORITY of Austrians,Dutch and 84% of British agree !

France,Netherlands and Ireland voted AGAINST the Lisbon treaty/constitution..but were ignored by an un-elected "commission" !

The EU Legoland "democracy" is a joke and MOST Europeans will NOT VOTE for a joke this weekend,...because it is not funny !

Say NO to the EU and the Lisbon/constitution and YES to a free Europe !

  • Also Italian if they will be correctly informed. Our Economy was destroyed by UE and peoples dont know about what Lisbon Treaty really is, that it give national sovranity to EU.

    Go UKIP !!! :)

  • UK should leave the EU and start some kind of bond with NAFTA.

politically they're also tied closer to us.

let the germans and the french waste their money....

  • Unfortunately NAFTA is as undemocratic, unpopular and unworkable as EU is in Europe. No one has voted for it except selve serving 'one super state' politicians herding everyone onto one huge farm so they can be milked with ease. Vote None of the Above for a New Election - throw out the Liberal Extremists.

  • Umm...we only pay £13 million per day to be in the EU.

Apart from that, UKIP for life!

  • Google Gerard Batten - The cost of the EU and you will find the £40 million is pretty accurate.

  • Gerard Batten - an independent source - a UKIP MEP! It's a shame his figures don't tie up with the official ones provided by the Foreign Office, the ones which show that £40 million is so blown out of the water it's in the Sahara desert.

  • "only" £13 million per day?

  • Please vote UKIP this is the only party where ive thought wow these seem like a genuinely good party! Wont scrapping the Human Rights Act cause problems though? please someone reply to that im really interested

  • Hope we get lots of UKIP votes.

    Good luck tomorrow guys.

  • Being part of the EU doesn'tmean we have to use the Euro but they didn't even do a poll on how many people want to be in the EU so how do they know?

  • This party is not gonna get my vote .... but it makes no diffrance as im not old enough to vote .... but when i am they can forget about it .... EU for life :P

  • As you get older the penny will drop.

  • Imagine. Imagine no commission unelected as they are no million regulations sent to us from afar imagine legislation made by those we know oh,oh,oh I know you may call me a dreamer but Im not the only one one day you will join us and Europe will be as one (..as a trading block, not as an imposed, artificial federal state no-one was ever asked if they wanted ). No to the Lisbon treaty/constitution ! Dont give the EU the legitimacy it cravesdont vote ( or vote UKIP ).
  • UKIP get my vote, it's the only party that ticks all the boxes for me !

  • i like the EU because it makes british people more and more powerless in terms of deciding rules.

EU law now takes precedence over british law if they ever clash

  • Repeating something we knew already and thinking this might make us love the EU would seem to be a big mistake to others with more intelligence than yourself.

  • I am delighted that all of the EU laws take precedance over British laws in the United Kingdom

Look at countries such as Switzerland and Norway who are not in the EU. they are in big trouble because they are not a part of it.

  • I am delighted in your honesty but your second paragraph is just made up.

  • I don't think any party want's my vote. We have had no canvasers round to ask for it. Pitty, the bucket of ice cold water is going to waste.

  • Recent polls here in Germany show that 74% think the EU has too much power.

The Austrians and the Dutch agree.

It's convinient to pretend that it's only the Brits who care about democracy...easy to forget that the un-elected commission ignored millions of French,Dutch and Irish voters who voted NO to the lisbon treaty/constitution.

    Wake up !

  • Why does leaving the E.U. mean we would have to increase our trade barriers? Norway, Switzerland (two of the richest countries in Europe, and not in the E.U.) and Mexico have the same terms of trade with the E.U. that we have. The point is that if we left the E.U., our parliament would be able to decide our relationship, and not make only 25% of our laws.

  • Go for it UKIP !

1.The so-called European elections are actually EU elections (Norway,Switzerland etc.also belong to Europe)

    .

2.The elections are not democratic : In a real democracy every vote has the same weight.

38,000 votes are needed in Luxemburg to chose an MEP. In Germany the number of votes needed is 628,000.

3.Europeans were never asked if they wanted an EU parliament & an un-elected legislative.

4.Most Europeans (in recent polls) do NOT WANT the EU to be given more power.

  • You are aware that in our country we don't have proportional representation, right?

As for point 3, I, for one, never consented to live under this government and for the first 18 years of my life had no say whatsoever in it. All government is imposed. True, the disproportionately low weight the EU parliament has is worrying; but does the Lisbon treaty not aim to solve this problem?

4 Quote these polls. Also, quote a poll that therefore says most Europeans don't want to live under the EU.

  • We don´t want UK in Europe Uniom. Let say no to UK in EU.

  • yes ples bieloman. thanks for the support.

  • Didn't realize it cost that much to be in the EU (If the figures are correct.. I highly doubt that stat about the majority of people wanting to leave the EU is true though).

In the end, it's 40million to be part of a competitive global economy. If we pull out of the EU we're doomed to be in poverty as an uncompetitive nation with closed borders. Think of China before it opened up.. that's what we'll be like if we turn our back on Europe.

I'm up for fixing the waste and lowering the cost though

  • The Polling was done by the BBC who are not noted for being Anti-European Union, so I think you will find this polling data is fairly accurate.

  • Excellent - money is a much better, politically broader theme than immigration. Good to see Marta too, highlighting friendly co-operation between the EU's critics across Europe. She was also excellent on Question Time.

Working together in Europe on the issues that affect us all simply doesn't take passing ever more decision-making - and vast sums of cash - to remote central EU institutions. That's just what the politicans want for themselves.

  • we are fast becomeing the United States of Europe. Do we want to become like on American state, being lead from Brussels, our army funds and laws being completely open to change without our say so. Our culture and traditions ripped to shreds before our very eyes?

  • Yes. We do. Very much so. And we do, because half of what you said is not true. We would have a say what happens, because we elect people (along with other europeans) to make those decisions, what you said was like saying Scotland has no say in UK affairs and its simply not true.

Culture being ripped to shreds? Oh please.... 1+1 seems to = 3 to people like you.

  • "because half of what you said is not true"

Err... So in your esteemed world view which half is true?

    Keep digging.....

  • Well in my last post I did point out which half was untrue, so perhaps you could use your master powers of deduction to work that out for yourself. I know thats asking a lot from Eurosceptics...

  • I'll let our readers deduce that....

  • How is UKIP fueled by xenophobia in any way when their policy allows for usefull, skilled immigrants that our country needs? Your thinking of the BNP or simular parties. Why should our money be donated to foreign lands while we hear of horror stories from our care homes and hospitals due to lack of training and staff. Domestic issues must be sorted first or we will end up losing everything we stand for as a nation.

  • I see so many comments of people with blind beliefs that the video isnt true, so wheres your evidence if UKIP is wrong, let me guess... the media. smezec, get a fucking reality check you zombie who believes you are rightous by using the EUs latest word inventions for those who dont sit and kiss the EUs arse, if this had anything about british jobs for british workers, you would use the new protectionist word, your also an EU and media puppet, you cannot think for yourself.

  • I was recently on a large construction site at Chatham docks.Me and my friend were the only British people on the site. There wont be a future for us or our childrenif we dont stop mass immigration.Cheap Labour means anybody can be replaced you think it wont touch you in your job.British people on the dole while eastern europeans take there jobs.Does that make sense to anybody.Vote UKIP Nigel is the only one who is saying it as it really is.

  • Every single premise for their argument is false, and deep down fueled by xenophobia

  • On no! - not the phobia word? Have you any other argument other than adding 'phobic' or 'phobia' onto the end of words?

  • Plenty, though I think dismising your phobia as if its unimportant is very foolish and shows your nature.

  • What arrogant rubbish!

I can't possibly dismiss something I don't have which only exists in your mind.

Do let us know about these secret fears you are harboring.

  • Well firstly, its the United Kingdom Independance Party, not the American Independance Party, so its spelt "harbouring"

The problem you have is that you don't like sharing, and particularly not with people who are "different" to you.

The EU has its problems, and you just want to wash your hands of it and leave it for other people. I would like to stay in it and help fix it to make it better for everyone.

  • Wants some spelling lessons?

It's dismissing not dismising; Independence not Independance.

I'll spell words the American way if I want.

"The problem you have is that you don't like sharing, and particularly not with people who are "different" to you"

This is your view not ours.

Lastly the EU cannot be fixed, it is an inherently bad system. They've tried for decades, had their chance and it's now time to move on. Yours is a minority view that has had the upper hand but not for much longer.

  • Accidental spelling mistakes are much more forgivable then intentional ones.

What are you? A quiter? How un-British of you. Of course it can be fixed, its a case of getting off your arse and doing something constructive about it instead of this rubbish.

  • I like the fact that you're trying to criticise a political party for spelling mistakes. I support UKIP for its principles, not because the webmaster can correctly spell long words.

  • It's 'quitter' by the way and we won't quit until we get out of the European Union.

  • "Losing our national identity" I visit Paris and I know I am definitely in France. Same with Brussels or anywhere else in Europe. Their EU membership has no bearing on their national character. The EU is the most important single market for our people. You don't bother even addressing this because UKIP is a soapbox for insecure little-Englanders who don't care about our prosperity. They only want a time machine to go back to idyllic 1914.

  • Was 1914 idyllic?

    Do you remember it well?

  • Sarcasm. Driving the point that UKIP sees Europe in terms of destructive national rivalries (i.e. 1914).

  • No, thats how you see it or present it....

  • Well said witlessparvenu. I don't know how closing our borders makes us more British. Furthermore, we're an economy built on international trade, we'd be less British if we were closed off from the rest of Europe

  • We won't stop trading with Europe by being outside of the EU so I fail to see the purpose of your comment.

  • We won't stop trading, but it will be a hassle for anyone in the EU to trade with us. They'll just trade with Germany instead. It's like being in the cool crowd at school, you may talk to the nerds but you sure as hell don't talk to them first.

  • How did we survive before we were in the EU?

If you think the EU is 'cool' I think no comment is needed.

  • I didn't say the EU was cool, it was a metaphor for our circumstance. That was blindly obvious. We survived before the EU because manufacturing here was cheaper, we had more manual workers and China and India were relatively closed off (so companies couldn't move there for cheap labour). It's our position in Europe that is the reason for much FDI, US and Asian firms investing here to use our links in the EU. The majority of our business is with the EU, increasing barriers makes us uncompetitive

  • What a load of crap. How would we be less British by closing our borders?

We need more control of our borders. We have far to much immigration in our country, that is a now a detriment to us. By pulling out of the EU, that means we can now control our immigration from europe. Open borders is not a good thing, for many reasons.

  • It is weird. You want close UK borders for countrys from EU like German, French, Spain or easteuropean countrys because of too much imigrations. If you want less imigrations you should cose borders for countrys like Turkey, India, African countrys and others too. I am very interessting how long would it take to absance of workforce. Maybe it is right that UK lost every day 40 mil every day but how much earn every day because of be apart of EU.

  • I agree about the other countrys as well but this is about the EU side of the problem.

The EU is a free for all and thats why we must leave the EU. Also don't forget that, people coming from countys outside the EU, come through the EU and get moved on to the UK.

  • @FightForYourFreedom Right, we don't want to CLOSE our borders, we want to CONTROL them. The country is full, and we certainly don't need any more badly educated people who have difficulty speaking English and crave taxpayer funded benefits-we already have millions of them.

The country is grossly overregulated, red tape is choking small business. This must be reversed, we can't do it while ruled from Brussels.

  • if UKIP are against the metric system then i wont be voting ukip

  • this country is one of the worst countrys in world now i think were to soft we let the EU control are lifes and make things harer cost us more money make us less powerfull wake up people who want to stay IN EU there is no benfit what so ever the bullshit we will lose trade we import way more then export they need us more then we need them and if we leve we can trade with everyone not just europe theres not 1 good thing EU is doing its a politchal union who dont want democay simple as that

  • How can they claim that "an overwhelming majority of people wanted to leave the EU". This is total rubbish and if they want to make these claims they need to at least provide a source. As for some of the comments on this page many people seem unable to comprehend the huge benefits EU membership brings and the idea that Britain can be great again is outdated and imperialistic. We have learnt these lessons in the past when over 60% of the population voted yes in a referendum on the EU.

  • How can they claim that "an overwhelming majority of people wanted to leave the EU"

If you are too feeble to search Google I don't know if I should even bother replying to this. The latest poll which was done at the behest of the BBC supports the polling data here.

Your figure of 60% is not a percentage of the population so you are wrong here.

In the UK we've only ever had one vote on this issue which was decades ago and this was about a 'common market' not a political union.

  • The official source of EU approval, the Eurobarometer, which I trust more than a TV poll, actually shows that there is a 38% approval, opposed to 22% who are against the EU.

  • Stop spamming the comments!

  • Why is it spam - because it's a political opinion which you don't share? I'm sure if I had published the same number of comments but in favour of UKIP, the spam word would have never been mentioned.

  • It's spam because you are leaving so many comments at once.

  • Nigel, you have friends and supporters. Not only in the UK, but in Ireland, The Netherlands and France as well. This bureaucratic nonsense will have to stop, for it has nothing at all to do with a United Europe, but everything with powerplay by some political con-artists . . . Keep up the good work, folks!

  • Thing is, Labour have fucked up, the Tories have fucked up before, no one in their right mind would vote Lib Dem and if you really want trouble, vote BNP. Think we are left with little choice but to give some new people a chance. Perhaps they may do very well and we could have another choice in future. If they fuck up, fair go. Their policies seems logical so why not? Britain doesn't need Europe.

  • Say if you Brits aren't gonna use Farage, mind if America borrows him? He'd make a damn sight better President than Obama or Bush.

  • i mean if i was one of these braindeads who benefitted from tory privatisation get rich eighties, right to buy but lets face it its over, vote for who tory , liberal , labour, all they do is moan about benefits due to eu ruling us with 75 percent power ill be voting for ukip. dont be dumb vote too,

  • Vote for the EU if you want to see a Nazi Europe tyranny for tomorrow.

  • 1.Why does the despised Lisbon Treaty/Constitution demand that all states spend more on weapons and their military ?

2.Why does EU legislation originate from an un-elected `commission´ who meet in secret ?

3.Why has the EU ignored the results of Dutch,French and Irish referendums ?

4.When will EU corruption be tackled ?

5.When were we Europeans ASKED if we WANTED an EU parliament ?

All the parliament wants is legitimacy i.e. your vote.

Don't give it to them..or vote UKIP.

  • I'm not sure about voting for UKIP or the Libertarian Party based on domestic policies for the next general election.. but UKIP is the best chance we have of getting out of Europe, so definitely I'll be voting UKIP for the European Elections on June 4

  • Hmm i agree with this guy hes got common sense I just want a sensible goverment like many other people.

  • I'm sick of the state of this once great country of ours, with what i've seen of UKIP policies they are the party that could turn us around and make this country great again, they have my vote from this day forward....

  • After the disaster with MP's expenses and the way the Gurkha situation is being handled, I don't doubt that UKIP will be getting a much bigger % of the vote this time around, I know I'll be votinf UKIP.

  • The latest polling shows a huge surge towards UKIP and it looks as if we'll beat Labour.

  • scum

  • health care, education, welfare etc, meaning that the UKs net contribution to the EU is only 0.6 % of the governments total expenditure.

I would like to move on to my next point. The broadcast proudly claims that there is no question that the majority of British people want to leave the European Union..., however clearly it is a question, as the eurobarometer, the official source of public opinion on the EU says otherwise.

  • The Eurobarometer must be broken and your figures need a dose of reality.

  • Why aren't my responses getting published? I get the feeling that ukipwebmaster is too scared for the public to see that the figures in this broadcast contradict official figures as published by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

    And craigcrawford114:

The percentage I gave was in relation to how much the UK government spends a day.

  • When you start to spam the comments without listening to what was said we introduce our anti-boredom policy.

  • Anti-boredom policy or anti-truth policy?

I did actually listen to what was said; hence my comments which show that the figures in the broadcast were wrong.

  • The UK does benefit from the remaining contribution. Access to the common market allows UK businesses to thrive, and close cooperation between member states means improved efficiency in fighting crime, helping the environment, and less publicly seen activities, such as scientific research, which benefits us all. It also allows UK citizens to receive free healthcare in countries in the European Economic Area.

  • Healthcare is never 'free' someone has to pay for it.

In France non-French domiciles now have to make contributions to support the system. Our NHS is at breaking point and is having problems with 'Health Tourism' from other countries.

  • As an under 18 how is it possible to do ANYTHING to help a cause like leaving the EU, politics apparently can only be understood by older people according to the media, what could a 16 or 17 year old do if they sincerley believed they were old enough and mature enough to decide? Nothing. The problem is because we are tarred with the same brush its never possibly considered that those NOT becoming politicians or anything fancy like that could still have an opinion. It's like we just can't help.

  • Being an 18 year old I can fully appreciate what you are saying. My first vote is going to UKIP of course. It's funny, the youth of Britain today is the future of Britain tomorrow yet you don't get a vote.

  • I thought that was a bloody good broadcast m8, i heard the phones didnt stop ringing with enquirers for days after this, very positive news, we'll have great support and a larger vote this year than in 2004, i hope.

  • UKIP honestly have the easiest election campaign ever, if the word can be spread to enough people. If only the media rallied behind them...

  • Hello, just wanted to say that me and my partner will be voting for UKIP Gerard Batten (London) in the Euro elections. I sincerely hope UKIP gets a good turnout.

  • Many thanks

  • It is so great to see the truth finally being highlighted and exposing what being part the European Union really means. You definitely have my vote in June.

  • What a load of bollocks.

  • The laugh will be on you as you get older and work hard to pay off Gordon's' debt.

  • An interesting arguement I agree with 100% of the points raised, but surely there must be some good points about being a member of the EU? I would like to know more about these, then I can make an informed decision...

  • The Benefits of being in the E.U.?

    Ummm...Let's see:

    /watch?v=T97ZjK2CihU

  • Another criticism (constructive - as I hope it helps): this sound more like a BBC newsreader reading the news than a powerful message arousing people anger against the EU which is destroying the UK.

  • Excellent message - I like the printed text which appears on the screen to ram home the message.

Great to see Andrea on there too - so many just don't know how corrupt the eu is.

Farage comes across well, professional, credible, as usual.

The freephone number could have been on screen for longer, but maybe regulations don't allow that, I don't know.

    Overall, great. Well done!

  • You have support from America!

  • you have my vote

  • Thanks!

  • Vote UkIP

  • good luck UK:IP! Will be voting for you!

  • Vote UKIP June the 4th - Im going to join the party soon.

  • I'm a huge supporter of UKIP, and will be voting for them on June 4th.

This broadcast had all the facts, but I couldn't help but think it's tone was a little boring. The next one needs something to liven it up, ion order to attract more people's attention. Even if it was just a bit of doom and gloom sound effects on the terrible facts that are shown.

Sorry, my marketing side's coming out lol...

  • 40 billion a day??!! what a joke!

  • You're a hero! Can't believe I managed to miss this when it was on TV.

  • Comment removed

  • "£40 million isn't actually very much when you add it up?"

You must be like Gordon Brown who's just printing the stuff as fast as he can.

    ;-)

  • ukipwebmaster, you may compare LiquidMetalBand to Gordon Brown but you forgot that it's people like him the UKIP is trying to convince to vote for them. So if you have more people thinking like LiquidMetalBand you gained nothing....

  • What are you going on about?????

  • I agree that I would have stressed that point a bit more myself, could have maybe used figures about how little law is made in the UK as well as talk more about how this takes away the power of the government. They also only stated 'we have lost control of our borders', should have stated that it was EU law that caused this.

40 million A DAY though is rather a lot, if you add it up to how much it is a year.
