If the Taliban shoot at British or American soldiers they ARE going to die its as simple as that, yeah they kill a few every now and again but they are an inferior fighting force, in the end they will run and hide in the mountains. They obviously believe (The Tali) in their cause but they cant win, the notion that they will is laughable. Perhaps they may win the war but they cant and wont win the battles thats for sure.

Which world do you live in? Taliban agreed to surrender Bin-LAden to US provided US showed proof of 9/11, but US was hell bent on attacking them anyways.
US &coalition strategies did not work thats why they went to tribal leaders for their help, same story repeated in Iraq. Did'nt you hear that Afghanistan puppet regime offered seats to Taliban in govt provided they give up arms. IF this mission was such a success, then why ask other nations to lend a helping hand as well? 600,000 troops with 8 years of mission against a handful of Taliban, and yet no success? We dont have to be a rocket scientist to understand what actually is going on over there.
First take care of your crumbling country and then go out to help others.
What do you mean no success? We killed a ruthless dictator and freed a nation. We drove the Taliban and Al Qaeda out of Afghanistan and are now in hiding. Osama is hiding in the mountains since he is afraid of us. The people have much more freedoms now since they don't have to worry about being killed at night by the Taliban or Al Qaeda. Thats not success? I sure think it is.
It's about four of us versus twenty thousand of them, due to our better training and not so crazy way of life by stoning women, we will win.
But the fact is this war is stupid. It's worse than Vietnam because the government WANTS us to stay in the country.
