not too sure what you mean about "that vinyl sound"... can you be specific? I have the VCI set to scratch mode so its pretty much like a vinyl record minus the platter moving.
in 0:14-0:45 are you using a sample on your left platter while your scratching is that how your getting that "ahhh" scratch sound when you release your platter?
Nice trick mixing! One of the best demos of the VCI I've seen. I just ordered mine I can't wait to get it. Its gonna take a while to get use to the platters not spinning like the 1200's
