Why is it that, besides Machete being a B-Grade Mexploitation flick, with every excuse to contemporise the genre, that this flick FAILS!! I wanted desparately to like it, and in parts I do. What bothers me is the amount of DIGITAL manipulation. Take Re-Animator, a deliberatley cheesy Horror flick, the effects lovingly invented..this is SUPERIOR. The recent Black Dynamite Baxploitation has balance and direction.Machete is so wrapped up it suffocates on its own vomit, and even that is digital.

This movie was a horrible film in general. The only way it got by at the box office is because every guy that went thought they were in for Alba and Lohan's tits. YOU'RE NOT. Sorry to spoil that. Lohan's are a stunt double.
If you can't see this movie as racist you're blind. I'm a hispanic-american and I was amazed that this didn't generate more protests. If a white director made a film demonizing the mexican immigrants there would be riots
