  • Father I was never alone

  • Awesome video! You are creatively talented Carol. From your college friend, Terri.

  • I suffer from ptsd..This video was good..ty

  • thankyou....

  • i would like to know the music besides the one by annie lennox. the second song is powerful. my daughter is a victim of special needs and mental health. this music is enjoying for us to listen to.

  • @stinaj2011 Hi both songs are by Annie Lennox from the album Songs of Mass Destruction. A brillinat album. She really says it all. I am glad you both enjoyed the vidoe and hope it will in some ways bring you peace of mind. I hope more people will understand these terrible illnesses that we struggle with on a dalily basis. Wishing you and your daughter love and happiness. God bless you, Carol :)

  • Need feedback, I was a looser, I have bi-polar and ocd, Ive changed Im walking with the lord now but Matthew 13:57 is my situation. Family dont give me respect, Im in Bible college and doing great. Nobody takes me serious, moved back in with my parents after divorce, Im 40 and I just dont know what the solution is. I dont have the means to move out right now, only thing I know is to walk around like a mime. People I talk to outside family respect and talk with me and dont put me down :(

  • @SuperGolfing1 Your not a looser! We have an illness that is misunderstood and we are often a great target for people to put us down. Keep walking with the Lord, keep talking to the people who don't put you down. I stay with people who accept me now. I have nothing to prove to anyone but meyself. Think of all the wonderful things you want to do. You may not get to all of them but have faith. Keep going to College. The one thing I find helps is walking those blues off. Love yourself!

  • Most people view mental illness as just plain "crazy". For that they "run away" from the person who is mentally ill. Media doesn't help either. They portray mentally disturbed people as "crazy" and is capable of mayhem, but we know that's not true.

  • I am a Christian and suffer from chronic anxiety and chronic depression. I'm also stigmatize... mostly by other Christians... who tell me that If I understand what my relationship with God is I'm not supposed to feel depressed. As if people could change their genetics or chemical problems. And when you are a survivor of childhood abuse, like I am, it's even worse. God doesn't always heal people. He said no when Paul asked Him. But I trust Him and don't care what they think...

  • @Cutie9326 "I'm also stigmatize... mostly by other Christians... who tell me that If I understand what my relationship with God is I'm not supposed to feel depressed."

Lol, those people are ignorant and every solution to them has to involve "God". I'm sure you can see that there is no "logic" there. At least you recognize religious flaws and you will probably dismiss to find the answer you are looking for withing your religion alone. Religion can not fix chemical imbalances in your brain.

  • @tkathryyn no onme can tell you how to feel

  • @tkathryyn ...Do you know what faith is? Do you know what empathy is? Please, tell me these definitions. I'm curious if your like these people that fear and hate on what they don't understand.

  • @FairBlueRose I sense anger. Faith and empathy is a trait I posses. If you are referring to me as a person who do not feel them(like narcissism), then you are clearly trolling.

"I'm curious if your like these people that fear and hate on what they don't understand."

You should analyze on your thoughts more to better understand your surroundings and interaction with others..positively. Negativity, most often than not, is the base of undesirable consequences.

  • This video really hit home,Jeanine... The one & Only Jesus our Lord & Savior is..The only way,I'am staying alive!!! God Bless You,Child of God!!!

  • " In Your Mind" by andrew gerbasi. I came across this tune on youtube. Loved it, and it had some amazing lyrics. Have a listen.

  • Fantastic

  • I feel love again with words in rhyme.

PTSD is my only sickness healed from the Divine.

Poetry and Art go hand in hand.

Used in prayer trauma loosed its band.

  • Love this music by Annie. I am sick by others standards but unique by mine. ascended folk say to me in spirit I am ascended in mind and vision but in spirit living in the descendant world. I feel the abuse even if i can't see it. I am a survivor not a victim, otherwise they control me. Our time is near to rise back home, this nightmare of 23 years will be over...EVE

  • If you have any suggestions that can help me to decide on treatments and how to effectively apply for SSI, I would appreciate it very much. I have Bipolar 2 disorder and PTSD. I'm an artist and writer. You can find me on YT and FB at jrothwell36@yahoo.com

  • A friend suffers but is convinced that he's not...my hands seem tied.

  • @bonnieclyde79 Read "I'm not sick I don't need help". It's a good book that deals with that very situation.

  • @MrGrevy I look it up with love from Carol

  • @MrGrevy It's a huge step from accepting that you need help to accepting you're the one who's sick, i.e. brain-diseased, i.e. wrong, and IMO there has to be clear, demonstrable, biological pathology before anyone has the right to declare another person brain-diseased. When it comes to "mental illness" there is no such evidence. I don't know anyone labelled "mentally ill" who doesn't agree that they need help. They just don't agree that they are the ones who are sick in their heads.

  • @shadeofteal Look - you won one today. Can you just act decently? Please?

  • @MrGrevy So, labelling someone sick in their head, without any evidence that this really is so, is decent, then?

  • Very sad video and excellent song choice. I feel for you as I know first hand what it is like to see people you love suffer from this horrible illness. My sister wrote a beautiful poem call Mother. It is about how she feels she has mirrored our mothers illness. God bless.

  • Hi,

I am a student doing a project on inequalities of mental care for people over 65.

If you have a friend or family member that have or is suffering of lack of care and support you can message me privatly.

    Thanks

  • i have 3 mental illnesses and have desarealization on two sets of medications and get counselling and im only 13. people dont understand what its like to have mental ilnesses they are lucky not to have them and get through them

  • You are right... not everyone understands but those that make negative comments to you or others concerning mental illness are ignorant and not educated about what it means to be mentally ill. Keep in mind there are those out there that do understand and can offer help. Don't let other's words define who you are... you determine who you are and your opinion is the most important and what matters. If others mistreat you due to mental illness they are not worth being around.

  • It takes great courage to say " I suffer from mental illness". You are courageous.

  • How it made me cry

  • Great job, Carol. This is so important, and we all deal with mental illness: our own or a friend or family member. Thank you for this inspiring video! Namaste, Judy in WY

  • Wonderful! This is an issue who's time has come to be put under the spotlight. Mental illness aflicts more people than we know, and all have to suffer not only their frightening pain, but also the stigma that society places on them. Thank you thank you.

  • Thank you thank you right back! love from me to you:)

  • WOW!!!! What an impact this video has on a persons heart. Very well made and the songs are perfect for it. I agree with what you wrote Carol from Montreal, that many suffer in silence and still do. Maybe for those who do, will have the courage to open up once they view this video. Thank you Carol for opening up our eyes and educating us on what people generally close their minds too.

Keep up the good work, God Bless you.

  • Your welcome! Spread the word God bless you too:)

  • AMAZING VIDEO !!! A WORK OF ART !!!

We are told to "pull ourselves together" .. do you not think that we would if we could

  • I so agree and now we spread the word and educate . Love you TillyFlop Keep fighting Carol:)

  • Thank you Carol, for your courage, compassion & love of all God's creations. Many of us have suffered in silence and still do. You are opening the doors for all of us to break this chain, urging us to speak out without shame. God Bless!!

    With love and deep admiration.

    Your friend,

    Carol, Montreal, Qc. Canada

  • Love you Carol and we will fight all of this! God Bless and see you on FB to fight for all Gods creatures! Your friend Carol xoxxox
