hey i watched your videos and im in middle school and i chose the bassoon and ive never heard about a non pull through swab ... i didnt have a bocal swab and gunk got in it and it broke my bocal soo thatll come in handy when it gets fixid

Sometime the weight or cloth gets stuck around the U-tube. You might try making or getting another swab

whenever i use a drop-cloth cleaner in the boot joint, it seems to get suck 3/4 of the way through. is there anything i can do to avoid that?

Perhaps you have a problem with your swab or weight. I suggest you try making your own as shown in the video.
