ahhh yes... I remember the days when I lived in Tupelo in 97 they kinda used that theme before they changed it out so I am very familar with that theme and I remember when Kathy Coggin just like left WTVA all of a sudden lol and then there was a new anchor
I thought it was funny listening to Bill Wheeler talk about how upbeat he was....Wicker along with the GOP nationally put on a big thumping the next day!
WAPT, KSTW, KTVI, and WSEE used a similar news open around this time.

It's also used for most morning newscasts, including the Morning Show reports and intermittently during the day.

It's mostly used during the sports reports. Also their weekend anchor, Robert Byers (for whatever reason) likes to use it during his newscasts.
