@greymoose1000 TRUE THAT MY "TROJAN" BRO! Just as the incestuous *ubarn (AL) family on Wire Road are also the worst at exhibiting class! But what more do you expect considering *ubarn (AL) University is the biggest redneck college in America!
Navy + Notre Dame = Class acts in college football. Notre Dame always pays tribute to the service academies when they play football, and the academies honor ND as always. You don't see that gesture with Stanford (thanks to their marching band) or USC. Go Navy, Go Army, Go Irish!
Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big time Irish fan and I thought that loss sucked, but if you're gonna lose to someone, I'd rather see the Irish lose to a group of heroes like this than a pack of showboat ncaa violating jerks like SC!
I hate to be the break the bad news, but the Notre Dame players are singing to the student body and alumni for their support and not Navy. And as someone already mentioned, they do this every game regardless of the outcome. I have been to many college games and there is no place as electric as Notre Dame and that's coming from an ex-Navy Officer
It's all about respect...and the tradition at ND is to "salute" any service academy team they play, for the obvious reasons, regardless of the game's outcome.
You, as a former Navy Officer, are obviously aware that there's much more to life than football games. If this tradition teaches that to the student body and to everyone in the stadium, that's good news.
Yeah cuz there not douchebags like the fans of most other programs... win or lose they support that football team; theyre not like Thug U. (Miami) where the fans stop coming out when the winning stops, ND will always have the backing of its fans... ALWAYS
Yes. And besides, it's NAVY! Who would want to disrespect a football team made up of people who have pledged at least four years of their lives to defend ours?
It shows that ND is class and Navy is full of heroes. Win or lose, that won't ever change.
Great job! Wow! Could the 2007-2008 school year be the year where Navy ends two huge losing streaks against a rival in two different sports? That is, against Notre Dame in football after 43 seasons and against Hopkins in lacrosse after close to 40 seasons. So far, Navy is halfway there! Wouldn't it be awesome and almost historic in the history of college sports if it happened?
Fight ON USC TROJANS!!!

They salute you, as well; I salute you, too.

Very classy. UND shows great respect for our Armed Forces and Navy shows great respect for a good institution at Notre Dame. Good stuff.

Yes I was so glad NBC decided to show this moment after the game. I got quite emotional watching this. THIS is what makes college football great.

This is tremendous, tremendous. It's what it should be ALL ABOUT! Every University should take this as an example of what real class is.
