my 4 yr old has a stimsons to and she loves it .at feed time she holds the rat with tongs and the snake takes it easy from her. after the feed i take the snake back to his inclosure so he wont freek out and spit his food up .
Wow, some people on here don't get it... of course the snake is "for him". While there are a lot of people who will go out and buy pets for thier kids, most of them do so knowing that they are the ones that will be stuck caring for them. From the way it seems, seeing as this particular speices isn't normally found in your average pet stores, the parents are reptile lovers and would be prepared to be with the child and educate him.
Cute kid =), he is very lucky to get such an extraordinary animal for his birthday, considering how young he is. I've been asking my parents for a pet reptile for almost 6 years now, but my mom doesn't approve of it ='(
the only thing i will say is that i wish he bites ur pennys idiot 4 year old children can takew care of pythons...MORON and dont say again that i havenr gotten cool presents cause i got a monitor at my 8y birthday
your giving a snake to a four yr old! how dumb a you ? seriously if it bites him he can get angry and rip the thing in half or something, and dont say "well this snake is good woth children and it doesnt bite" what the hell were u thinking? all snake bite including this things and if it dies cause of the kid, no offence hes cute :) u just wasted ur MONEY!!!

@staticslipk5 yes he is lucky... it was either a snake or a Komodo Dragon that he wanted.. stimson python is a bit tamer :)
