  • To tell you the thruth, I prefer the dialogues from the SNES Final Fantasy III game. I know that this remake has most of the original names and stuff, but I still prefer the FFIII changes.

  • Some of the dialogues in the GBA version are definitely improvements over the SNES version (Setzer's dialogu w/ Celes on the first Airship, plus certain of Kefka's lines,) but many things in the SNES version were better, both in terms of dialogue and spell and ability names.

I liked the descriptive spell and ability names from SNES "Quadra Slam", "Retort" etc. Instead of the "nature" names for "Bushido", which would also be confusing to a new player.

  • it's fixed in the ps1 version. i'm guessng they just shrunk the snes version onto a gba cartige and added a few extras.

  • Yeah all three are basically the same coding, with a few changes here and there.

  • @wiicow Shrunk the SNES version down? I highly doubt file size is an issue on GBA cartridges. The SNES version was only 3MB.

  • lolz

  • it's because all the text gets shunted backwards a step so it can fit in "a strange light fills the air" at the end of the first part of the intro, and the very first line is moved rightto the end of the second part when the magitech soldier says "the ancient war of the magi...etc."

  • That's not a spoof or a bug. It's telling you that what you are standing on is a save point. It's for people who don't read the instruction booklet or anything.

  • Yeah like what I've said 3 months ago...:

"No, "A strange light fills the air" is in the game, it's the very first text you'll read when you touch the FIRST save point, which is in the Narshe Cave."

  • Perhaps it was usused text that they accidently left in the game? Who knows.

  • That line isn't used anywhere in the game "A strange light fills the air"

It ma be from a sidequest, but the script FAQ at Gamefaqs lacks it.

  • No, "A strange light fills the air" is in the game, it's the very first text you'll read when you touch the FIRST save point, which is in the Narshe Cave.

  • 3:16 Poetic Soldier.

  • Cool, so I'm not the only one who had this glitch. This happened on both my ROM and my GBA game. Kind weird, isn't it? The text are so fucked up and out of order. XD

  • A strange text fills the air ;)

  • fascinating

  • I don´t get it.... Why does that Text appear there?

the: "A strange light fills the air".

THAT di´dn´t appear on the SNES version for sure.

  • Ok, it was "NOT" intentional, if it was they'd remove before the units started moving around the screen, like the rest of the entire game does, when you see text, units don't move.

  • OMG! I knew I wasn't the only one who noticed that! I swore I thought I was crazy when I didn't see it again!

  • It seemed different on the one I played. It said "could anyone be foolish enough to repeat that mistake" where your "a strange light fills the air" appears. I'm guessing it might be programming error in the events

  • Actually, that last 4-line thing that lingers on the screen is supposed to be the first 4 lines of the intro cutscene. Man, what a piece of crap. They ruined the translation, too.

  • You mean "A strange light fills the air?" I'm confused which one? I don't think the new translation was all that bad.. A few needed to stay, but I welcomed all changes, and it's all good. :)

  • wait, it's not a bug, they did that intentionally, figuring that most people wouild watch the intro, they did that because at that time you didn't even know if Terra was good or bad, or even who Locke was, thus they'd add extras, and then make them un-watchable once those facts were learnt by the player in the game. The only reason why I think this is because the text that said'"A strange light fills the air". that was programmed *intentionally* to disappear at the moment of first dialogue.

  • You got a weird theory going on :P

  • ...All it is, is a line that appears later in the game. It isnt funny, or neat, or anything.

  • ...And your point? I just find it *somewhat* amusing they overlook "technical" (for lack of a better word) issues, too bad if you didn't (find it amusing) though. I'm quite a freak when it comes to stuff like these.

  • same here, if it doesn't please you people then too bad.

  • If it doesn't screw any thing up why does it matter.

  • It's nothing life-changing, but it's kind of funny, it's removeable like I've stated, so it's no big deal :) I wonder why am I getting such weird reactions from people? Haha.

  • Yeah where is it?

  • where`s the bug?

  • Not sure if I should have called it "bug," it's nothing life-changing or anything but the text and words all got jumbled up.
