The King was the most underappreciated artist of his or any era since. But also, sadly, the most mismanaged. Think about the time wasted making all those mostly horrid movies...Add that to the amount of music that the public never got a glimpse of...the Jungle Room Sessions for one. Over 400 songs released publicly and probably half that many sittin in boxes that we may never get to hear. Alas....still the greatest entertainer ever!

Whats really gets to me is that songs like this & so many others from the '70's should have done SO MUCH BETTER! There's so much the world isn't even aware of concerning his musical work. I don't even know who to really blame! In the end, MANAGEMENT should be to blame. Elvis did his job & incredible songs like this one HAD TO HAVE DONE BETTER if marketed better. I just don't get it.

This song, like many of Elvis' songs, was ahead of it's time. That's the reason we've seen so many rereleases and remixes through the years. There was no digital recording equipment, no accusonic recording process when he recorded, just great musicianship and great vocals by Elvis. I would love to see what Elvis would've done had he lived. I know he would still be on the charts, doing concerts, music videos and maybe movies to.

Yes much better sound mix than the original. Many of the 70's songs and albums to me need a major sound re-mix. Many sound tinny, no bass, horn section lost at times......let's see what give down the road.

@ElvisZone for his defense, Elvis' manager (Tom Parker) was the one making alot of his decisions, so most of that blame goes to the manager. I think Elvis should have gotten rid of him mid point in his movie career so he could have more freedom.

He was in 30 films he didn't like, he also sold his artist royalties for 2 mil, a horrendous financial mistake. Eventually you realize money doesn't mean a whole lot, and Elvis was not happy with his career. He was the greatest though.

It reached a fantastic number 3 in the UK Charts - without promotion or any video compilation.

It was an underrated song, as it has always been one of my favourite tracks.

Was enjoying the video's of him and Ann, had to ruin it with the vain Priscilla though. If it werent for the promise that he made to Priscilla's father about marrying her he might have married Ann hopefully, but since Priscilla's family pretty much blackmailed Elvis into marrying her I guess he had a different ending most likely we will never know but because the Colonel was so scared of the fallout in case it was make public about Priscilla Elvis didnt have a choice and had to give in.
