That can be a possibility too watawa, but in the intro of the video, right before shou knocked the miko down. The miko was carrying a stick in a way so that she can feel what was in front of her. Also, when she was searching for her sack, she didn't look down to search for the sack, but she was trying to feel for the sack.

People keep saying that the miko is blind, but i don't think so. I think they just drew her eyes that way. Also, she has her eyes open later in the video. But this video made me sad. The way Byakuren met Shou and the others was so heart warming! Byakuren is a saint, and yet she still get's sealed off by humans. Humans can be so cruel.

Everyone looks at canon, then goes on to make their own fanon. The fandom owes most of its understanding of touhou through fanon since only a small part have played the games or studied the lore to an important degree.

So I'd say that your average fan has no real understanding of canon, nor do they need to, which is the beauty of Touhou.

Nazrin doesn't have a very large connection to Byakuren unlike Shou, Murasa, Ichirin and Unzan. She is both Shou's minon and keeper for Bishamonten as the god didn't fully trust Shou.

It can't be nue, 1. she has black hair 2. obviously like her name, she is a nue(youkai) and 3. If you've READ her story it doesn't say anything about her being saved by byakuren.

it also can't be reimu, 1. yes reimu did have purple hair and was a miko though, byakuren was sealed in makai for 1000 years or so..She still wasn't out even in the pc 98 games. 2. byakuren never said anything about her meeting reimu in the past.. and 3. you'd think zun WOULD eventually say something right?

Not to be rude, personally, i doubt that is the case. but Zun does not give specific timelines between the story of one game to another, except on touhou 10-13 where the story is a little more linked. As far as i read there had been others before Reimu, and she is supposed, along with marisa, to be around 16 (something i read about that along on how in gensokio they are already considered old enough to drink) However there is always room for speculation she might or might not be her.

What I'm getting from this is that Byakuren was looking for Youkai to hunt and then she saw this little girl that was on the floor, looking for her bag (and maybe the reason she couldn't catch her because she was blind which the reason for the stick) and to find the youkai that took her bag she found Shou having the bag, Byakuren was about to attack her than other Youkai ran in to protect her (maybe the bag had food of some sort) and she decided to help them to this day. Now Reimu is the last Hakurei Shrine Maiden...
