You guys can talk whatever you want. Nothing can beat the original version of ANYTHING! No English, Spanish, German, Chinese, Vietnamese, Canadian, Russian or Egyptian DUB! It's the same with Digimon. Voices are great and epic, it just takes time to get used to them. I needed to get used to them when I first started watching all of it it in Japanese. And you know what? Japanese is how it should be - no altering dialogue or cutting scenes, Digimon at its best!
@myaccountfor18plus I think Season 1 and 2 were the best because I was between ages 8-10 when they first aired. That and I think there was much more effort put into the first 2 seasons.
Regarding this clip's rendition of Omnimon's birth, I have one thing to ask... Why the freaking hell did we screw up this masterful scene so much?! Seriously, I don't think a Japanese animated film has been butchered more by the US film industry than Digimon!!!
@pln9fos I wouldn't say that. I actually prefer the dub version for acknowledging the emails, and added dialogue. "The e-mails keep coming. They won't stop. Everybody needs you!" (paraphrased) to WarGreymon's "I feel them!" leading into the bad ass orchestration of the dub theme and that epic "OMNIMON!"
The silence of the Japanese version ruins the scene for me. I might prefer if it that scene spoke more than just "I'm here for you, let's fight together" and suddenly e-mail induced evolution.
@TakayuSyaoran I do agree on a couple of points; the acknowledgment of the e-mails works, but in my opinion, just having Wargreymon wake up without saying anything would have emphasized how weak he was. And I also think that the fact that Omnimon doesn't speak in the Japanese version makes him much cooler.
The build-up of the choir as Omnimon's birth draws closer is an improvement, but once "Lets Kick it Up" jumps into the scene, it ruins how amazing the scene is, in my opinion.

Pokémon still has many of the same characters, but each new series in Digimon is really just that, a new standalone series with very little connecting it besides Digital Monsters. It isn't the same.
(Adventure would be the third series, since Digimon World and V-Tamer 01 came before it.)
I enjoyed it too, its just that I got a bit repetitive in the middle. Its like, go to new zone, spend two episode trying to get the code crown, repeat. Add in Kirihia or Nene subplot in certain ones. Then in the death generals one, less repetitive but still a bit. Got EPIC during the final 10 episodes. Hunters...has no plot. As soon as it does though I'm counting on it to be awesome because I'm actually enjoy the FILLERS. And the rival hunters interest me.
As a conclusion to my trilogy of comments, i'll say that Xros Wars is my favourite Digimon-series. Shoutmon rocks, the mecha elements are apparent but acceptable, the Big Bad is intimidating as fuck cus his buildup is executed well, and if you cried at any point in any of the previous series, you'll cry when Baalmon ____ Beelzebumon and when Kiriha gets over his surprisingly dark past, Deckerdramon ____ and Xros Heart forms X7. And you'll get goosebumps at epic moments. Give it a try.

If its your first digimon show then fine but if you actually saw the original seasons then you would see how horrible this show was. They then have a "i feel great power inside of me" moment and Shoutmon evolves. This means that only the most legendary warriors can evolve their Digimon, which is a giant nod to continuity towards Adventure.
@WaffleSpycrab If you go technical yes, a digimon season is part of a whole series if it has a surrounding base of digimon. Their digivolution to me seemed more like an golden armor digivolve but without a digiegg. Yea its the whole legendary warrior friendship mix like every digimon so far but I don't see it with Xros wars. This season is making the royal knights and seven demon lords look really weak. Not cool. This bagramon is just too ridiculously powerful and it's weird it was never mentioned anywhere before this that there is such a powerful villian.

Wow, when my friend told me that Xros Wars had the most ridiculous final digivolutions. I didn't believe him. I was like,"what can be worse than Imperialdramon's forms, or that ancient spirit evolution." Man was I wrong. Using like what? 100s of digimon for it's final form.
Omegamon's (Omnimon's) digivolution in English is a bit better,
the reason being is that Tai tells WarGreymon to feel the power of everyone who sent them mail, and then his eye glowed when he says "I feel them..." But in the Japanese version (no offence) he says nothing and all this Mail pops out of nowhere.
@MahEmo730 gotta admit the soundtrack for that bit was way more fitting than that faggy 90s rock music. makes the movie so much more dramatic and epic.

I feel like digimon is just turning into a less rediculous form of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, just cause the digivolutions and transformations are just getting more absurd each series. i mean really just look at what they are doing in Xros Wars; its nothing like adventure 1 and 2.

@heavymetaldrew OF COURSE IT'S NOT LIKE ADVENTURE & ZEROTWO, what, would you WANT them to stay un-dynamic and creative with Digimon? ZeroTwo brought in Armor and DNA Digivolution, yet no one rants about that...
And if you use your head, you'd see ZeroTwo was what killed your chance of seeing another continuation, anyway. I'd understand if you brought up LOGICAL reasons of not liking the Series after, such as character development, plot & storyline, but just the Digimon's Digivolutions? -__-

Omegamon's (Omnimon's) digivolution in English is a bit better,
the reason being is that Tai tells WarGreymon to feel the power of everyone who sent them mail, and then his eye glowed when he says "I feel them..." But in the Japanese version (no offence) he says nothing and all this Mail pops out of nowhere.
