  • damn

  • I would like to try and take out the AWD drive train and the twin turbo motor out of a gen 4 SHO and cram it in a gen 2 then upgrade the turbos ..now how sick would that be???!!!!

  • bravo bravo

  • you sir, are my F@#king hero!

  • dude u kick ass!

  • OMG, that is awesome! If I didn;t see the video, I would never have believed it. What the hell are you gonna do next, make it transform into a robot?

  • idk what to say,,,, im speechless..

  • bad ass

  • That is pretty damn cool man. Way to be unique and take a car that is definitely overlooked and make into somethin that nobody else has. Very cool

  • how come they didnt make this rear wheel and then add the 5.0 small block that would of been nice

  • @MrBry329 The car was really only created to put the Yamaha SHO engine in something, which is actually a better engine than the 5.0. I totally agree with you though that it should have been RWD. My SHO isn't nearly as fun to smash the gas while making turns in the rain as my s10 with positrac is.

  • better buy yourself a t-bird and that piece of shit to the junkyard

  • I'm attempting to take the SHO engine and plant it in something wierd, havent decided yet what, but RWD woud be ideal, i already own a HP monster, i just want different and a "wow he did that" effect. i like your set up, the work must have been intense.. Good job!

  • i wish they ALL came in RWD.

  • this is easily the sweetest sho i've ever seen, any mods since this movies been posted?

  • hey i need to ask what was the axle u use cus i want to do that to a plain tarus

  • OMG!!! Now I can finally change the spark plugs.

  • almost positive you can turn the intake manifold around, bolts still line up, like the 3800

  • Damn. I see it, and I almost still don't believe it. When I finally saw the rear end (and from then on) I knew it was true. I guess the intake manifold/output crank on the motor nessecitated the intake and T.B. being in the "rear" of the engine. I thought that was odd, but oh well. Like some of the guys ask you, how many hours of your life went into this project? I would love to have one, though.

  • How many hours of your life went into this. Super cool but holy crap.

  • the only thing that would have been better would be to reverse the intake.

  • I;m blown away! Incredible craftsmanship. Let's see more!!

  • wow!! amazing

  • Good work, but it's still a piece of crap lol

  • @sweetlikeADAM ya but the motor is yamaha gold

  • @sweetlikeADAM nah funny thing is that engine is better than anything you got so its not really crap but if it is what does that make your car?

  • @TransAmFTW It's a Taurus. Therefore it is a piece of crap... Yes, it has a good engine. But it's still a Taurus...

  • @TransAmFTW It's a Taurus. Therefore it is a piece of crap... Yes, it has a good engine. But it's still a Taurus...

  • @sweetlikeADAM even though its just a frame not engine or tranny but whatever floats your boats since mines better then your must just be down right a piece of complete shit

  • I give you props for the swap, considering all the work put into it but i would like to know why.

  • lol looks like it would be a fun car to confuse other taurus SHO owners with... doing a brake stand then drift! haha does it work?

  • HMMMM SHO in the T-Bird.....maybe easier?

  • fuck all the people saying this is half ass, this car is truly one of a kind, and they couldnt do a better job. you took lemons and made lemonade... whats more american than that

  • i really wish they put the 3.8 v8 in the svt contour and made it all wheel drive. ford didnt cause it would cost and extra 3000

  • Nice! This car should have been RWD to begin with.

  • Whats with the music???? Not a good idea.

  • I know the about T5 transmission, but that other was done, What Bell-housing and Slave Cylinder, Etc. got a 3.0 in a 1991, about to pull the motor and ECM and getting a 1995 T5 transmission. but read need to change some other thing.

    thanks

  • im trying the same thing on my 96 except im putting all mustang in mine any major problems u ran into?

  • ack! did you really put drums on the front? why not go with mustang spindles or something? or even thunderturd?

  • @NightTurkey82

those drums are out back..... I know the rear end is a t-bird.

  • How did you do it. Tell me all the mods please!

  • that is amazing

  • Could please u post a video of urself doing burnouts in it? How much did the conversion cost?

  • this is aawesome. something like what i wanna do. i've 1995 nissan maxima that weights about 3000 and i love the the 3.4 L v8 (i owned a 98 sho for a while but had to sell it :( . i wanna rip the back seats out of the maxima and found a way to mount that v8 back there, and convert it to rear wheel drive, and maybe turbo it! somehow.

yeah its a dumbass idea, but it just might be possible, and you know no one else would have that!

  • would have been way better this way

  • how did u do the conversion?

  • I've owned atleast 14 of these cars and I love them for many reasons along for the mustangs. Impressive to see a rear wheel sho. I do have one burnout video if you are interested

  • Haha, the Taurus is a total piece of shit. But in V8 and RWD its fucking cool :D

  • Rear drum brakes?

  • I personally would have flipped the intake around. The Intake manifold is symmetrical so the motor could be used for this kind of install allowing the inlet to be located at either end

  • I personally would have flipped the intake around. The Intake manifold is symmetrical so the motor could be used for this kind of install allowing the inlet to be located at either end

  • What rear end and tranny did u use? Im gunna guess a v6 stangs?

  • i knoticed your intake was backwards, you can actually unbolt the intake plenums/runners at the vacuum actuated intake plates and turn the manifold around so that the throttle body points towards the front. if you want reply and i can send you a picture or a video of how to do it

  • may i ask what cams you are running? any other engine mods? that thing sounds beast! very impressive work!

  • Fuckin amazing, man. You are an inspiration to all us SHO Drivers.

  • Hey anyone have any idea if the hood for the GL fits the SHO on the 95 Taurus?

  • Ford did not have the balls to make the SHO in to a RWD back in 96, it's easier to work with.

  • did you covert that to rear wheel man

  • serisouly.... if you can figure it out by watching the vid....

  • This is cool, how difficult was this to do?

  • when you opened that hood i bout popped a chubby.

  • That shit's truly Super High Output.

  • nvm. I'm guessing you did it this way so that the engine would fit without modifying the hood.

  • Don't know if you are aware of this, but the intake manifold can be rotated so that the intake is facing the front. It might make it easier when routing the intake system, and it would improve aesthetics.

  • explain to me how u did that please! cause ive been trying to figure out how to do that to mine forever now.

  • holy crap. sounds like you got a huge cam in that thing!

  • That's cool, is this an extremely difficult job?

  • id suggest twins and a custon intake manifold for space.. that would be siiick

  • Hi. Your nick name is "RioGrande4x4", are you brazilian ? I am from Brazil.

  • are those drums in the rear? i'd find a 95 se/gl at a junk yard and convert them to disc.

  • I also noticed ,and was amazed at how much room is in the engine bay now that you have turned the motor north/south...plenty of room for some twin turbos!

  • First I must say awsome job!,but I have a couple of questions...I noticed the drum brakes on the rear, meaning you used the IRS from a t bird, why not from a mark 8,you would have gotten a posi, ans disc brakes...and did you use a ranger t-5 for the tranny?

  • @okmotherfucker actually the mark 8 was only posi from 96-98 and it had to be an LSC and that was with 3:27 gears.

  • LOL...hood pins

  • Damn now i want one. What did you do about a rear axle and a driveshaft???

  • I think I will build one.

    Good job on yours!

  • nice. lost the fishtanks too. looks better imao.

  • damn what a butch job. was it even worth it?

  • I think so. I would love to see you do better seeing this is the only one done to date with the SHO being around for 20 years now. Remember, this is a really early video. The car has racing seats, tranny tunnel is completed as is the rear deck, I just haven't made another video to date.

  • @riogrande4x4

Neat car. How would yo know if anyone else had made one RWD? Not everyone posts on the 'net?

  • wow...great work

thats how they should have come from the factory!

  • fukin sick, we r planning on putting a sho engine in my 67 mustang, i have a 92 right now, damn this thing is awesome

  • If Ford had built these things like this,I would have never sold my 95.

Great job and I like the way the pretzel manifold looks faceing the way it should have been from factory.

  • Glad you could pick it out...can you host a clip of your civic?

  • @riogrande4x4 LmAo! GooD Job man. Heard about ya over@ SHOforum.com!

  • @riogrande4x4 sounds more like a street bike than a wimpy Honda civic. Good old Yamaha V6 :) its crude ... very crude but congrats man looks great and probably gos like holey shit!!

  • @riogrande4x4 hahah, he doesn't know how a cam is supposed to sound

  • I don't have a civic

  • @TheNaynay352 are you deaf? this engine sounds amazing!

  • fucken amazying bro, i ones heard that if ford wuld of made the SHo rwd from the start it wuld of been like the ,supras ,or skylines, from japan. it wuld of been great to see the SHO running ,is it faster than the stock SHO. (comment please) see yaaaaaaa

  • Chris, you silly silly boy :).

    SeanMc from the SHOForum

  • care to upload a version without the annoying music? i wanna hear that beast!!

  • Check out my other videos then!

  • Now if the conversion was cheaper and easier then i would never buy another car...

  • For the wet dream us SHO owners have had for years this is worth the cost.

  • I can't wait to see what you're going to do next!

  • A V8 conversion would be nice but I am looking at a gen1 RWD conversion soon!

  • FUCKING amazing.

I always figured there wouldn't be enough room for a longitudinal mount unless you cut something.

  • There are a couple different ways to set it up and niminal cutting can be done at the rear of the fake tranny tunnel.

  • Wow.. that never seemed possible but wow they got through every hmmmm problem..

  • whoa! that is so cool!

Im not knockin' it or anything, but the first thing I thought when i read; SHO and RWD, was Jay Leno's Ford Festiva SHOGUN. But this is just as cool for sure! 5/5

  • SHOGUNs are bad ass for sure, but this one of a kind beast is darn close!

  • @riogrande4x4 you sir are a innovator. just like the guy who made his 02 taurus into a sho with a manual.sweet

  • Damn that is very nice!! Looks like a **** load of man hours under that hood, one of a kind for sure.
