Seems like a very cynical sport to me. Quietly elitist with custom mits and $10 balls that last 20 minutes. But it is the FASTEST. And that's a good marketing ploy. And with the right set-up the gambling looks like it can make a mint.
u have to catch the ball while it is in the air (can not bounce off the ground), and you must throw it against the front or left wall in a continuous motion, which means you can't stop or hold the ball. if the ball is thrown out of bounds, a point is rewarded to the other team, the loser of the point goes to the back of the loser line, and the winner of the point stays on the court. first team to reach seven points wins the game. i really want to try it.

This is a terrific video! I've heard that Jai Alai was a fast paced sport but I never suspected the intensity that is depicted here.
