@TheWilliamYap Yes, the compositing is not the great, but the animation is good. The idea of the Trex fits the story but the compositing of the trex in the scene does not look that good in my opinion it is meeh i think it could be better.
Cool video. Great pictures. Anyone got wind that the founder of Prehistoric Channel has written his first thriller book, THE ICE GORILLA is now being looked at by movie producers who are trying to turn the book into a movie. It depends on how well the book sells. Personally for me I'd love to see Jurassic Park IV and THE ICE GORILLA in movie theaters in 2013.
My little brother just walked in and he goes "Ohmygod, there's a t-rex in the lost series!" and im like "no, u idiot, the t-rex was edited in and he's like "oh......right.....-_-" lol
Okay, this is fucking brilliant. I stopped watching Lost after that fucking polar bear, WHY IS THERE A POLAR BEAR ON AN EXOTIC ISLAND?!
The V-rex defintely suits this scene and their reactions are perfect for a first time confrontation to a rex. I never thought I'd actually feel excitement, fear, anticipation for this show again and you made that happen for 29 seconds haha. The dino actually fits well in that setting.
Nice choice! It's such a simple video and it gets 250,00 hits <3
damn! 2 of my favorite things. lost(which on its own kicks ass) and dino's( i know its from the king kong remake) which are badass. put them together and what do you get? the best idea for a series or better yet a video game.
Skull Island was a real Island. Discovered around the Island were thermal vents that kept the Island cool and tropical while the rest of the world began to freeze up, thus continuing the existince of dinosaurs on that Island. Kong naver existed, nor was he sent back to NY. They have Photographic proof that they visited the Island, proving it existed. The chances of Dinosaurs living on that Island are grave, but my great, great, great, great grandfather visited that Island, and never came back.
Cara me diz ai como vc conseguiu colocar esse t-rex no video,se puder me dizer o nome da feramenta utilizada,me diga, isso iria ser muito util pra mim, vlw.
it isnt a t.rex, its a specially adapted decendent of t.rex, called vastatosaurus rex, it is about 15 feet longer than tyrannosaurus, and its build is adapted to cope with the terrain of its habitat
its not a movie, its a clip from a tv show called lost, and the maker of this video edited the v.rex (its supposed to be a decendent of t.rex) from the newish king kong remake
Awesome! I wish the "monster" from Lost was a dinosaur, instead of some black smoke. The show already rocks, but a Lost World scenario would make it, like, 10 times better! Good job!
Again, nice job, but I pretty much want to know how you can mix clips like that. I want to make a fan film in tribute to PJ's Kong using such clips. How did you cut it out in the first place? Do you need special equipment to splice it from a dvd like that?

@nddlj The polar bear shows up at the pilot. You "stopped" watching the show at the very beginning? You're a dumbass troll.
PS: There's a perfect explanation for the polar bear in the island. Watch the show.

Its a "V-Rex". An evolved form from Tyrannosaurus rex.

It wasn't an allosaurus. IT was supposed to be a decedant of T-rex that had an additional finger.

HOW DID YOU DO THAT?! Awesome, man. Seriously, what program did you use?
jaseywacey 3 years ago 5
Glad you liked it, any compositing program like After Effects or Shake will do for something like this.
I just cut out (roto-ed) the t-rex from King Kong for a couple of shots, and after a lot of fiddling, colour adjustments, cloning out of actor (jack), and adding shadows, sand puffs and other things to hide the rough edges, it just remained to do some sly editing to get it to fit together.
Plus a bit of my own sound effects and music.
