All levees in the U.S. are below standard. In Sacramento, Ca there are developers building homes 20 ft below sea level. the infrastructure of the U.S is falling apart people, including bridges, schools, roads.
@4nola27 The levees of Nouvelle Orleans and the surrounding area arnt as high of a standard as those that are in other areas in the US. Nouvelle Orleans for centuries now "by the government" has been badly neglected and this is purposely done.
@4nola27 Yes the government has to not only the job to protect the city of Nouvelle Orleans but the times that have pasted that they should have taken care of the cities problems have past 20 to 30 times over thats how many times it flooded.
@4nola27 The city has seen over 60 to 70 hurricanes in its history. The crumbling infrastructure of other areas in the US are not at such a higher risk as the city of Nouvelle Orleans. not even close my friends " but yes all problems in the country should be addressed. :)
Are you guys comparing the levees in new Orleans to levees in other parts of the US? Are other levees better protected or are they all at the same low standard?
the entire united states infrastructure is failing both below and on ground level

A lot of them are failures, including the one protecting DC. I think their new video provides a better explanation. Another Katrina is coming.
