I can't figure out from your screen shot what you are pointing at at 0:52. The inside of my iphone 3GS looks nothing like this. It would be helpful to either have a more clear image, or to point out where the top of the ipod is.
This is actually not asking too much. If the power button is broken, you have to take your ipod completely apart and replace a ribbon cable and it is a serious pain and a serious risk if you don't know what you're doing. This is actually easier and you only have to remove the screen, instead of completely taking apart your ipod touch.
