  • This was an awesome LP Tim. Watching these LP's have made me download the ROMs Earthbound and Mother 3, not sure if I'll beat them or not because I'm not really good at these types of games, but I will keep trying.

  • One last thing. "Image"?

GOD transcends "Existence" thus no "image" to be had as We perceive such trivial things. IMO "image" as in 'Self Determination as per Intelligent Design'. To argue one & not other is wrong, as only from one the other. We by Int Design have Self Det and so too can design intelligently.

His "image" in my view in that We the Many like HIM the One have Self Determination, his "gift". By the Power of Choice we are who we make ourselves into, We Decide.

    GOD IS thus We ARE

    ^_&

  • GOD IS thus We ARE

I find it amusing to hear people talk about Religion who aren't by their sound/voice of true/absolute Faith. the 'if there is' stuff. *I Think therefore I AM; I Am thus I Exist; I Exist thus there is Existence; from Existence I Exist. There is Existence as that GOD Exists. If 'no God' then 'No Us'.* To argue against God is to argue against Existence, which would REQUIRE Existence to do. Thus it be funny when 'if' is brought up. The only 'if' is Perception. God IS, thus we Are.

  • @ZGuy0fSci the other side of the "pun" God IS thus we ARE

*God thus Existence therefore Us. But also,

GOD, "The ONE who is Many" (Existence, but also 'Known by many Names and Faces')

then 'US', the 'Many who are ONE'. The 'Human Race' though of many nations and "races" are ultimately ONE World, ONE 'Race', this our Existence.

Why also can't "disprove God"? Simple also: 'Always a Bigger Fish', and "god" / deity in simplest terms "One of Higher Power", which always is.

PS agree w/ NCS on Game.

  • I agree with your ending, it is a much great ending and kind of feeds into the theme of the game.

  • ...I watched Chuggaaconroy's LP of Mother 3 before NCS's...but I still didn't notice until now that the Eight Melodies from Mother 1/Earthbound Zero plays in the Staff Credits from 3:29-3:56!

  • Nintendocaprisun? i believe in what you've said about the ending. thats what bein' friends is about.

  • God created a perfect world, but a selfish fallen angel ruined the perfection when he tempted man into evil. From that point on, other humans controlled by the Devil's evil influence, began having their own selfish desires and craved for acquisition and false happiness. (Sound familiar?) Governments rose and oppressed their people for money. As a result, children began starving, people became disease ridden, etc. God's written Word says the world will be destroyed and a new Earth will be created

  • @thefinalfrontier1701 God will purify His followers and allow them to live by His side forever once again in perfection and true happiness. As for the Devil and his followers, they will be sealed forever away in a lake that burns with fire and eternal separation from God. MOTHER 3 seems to be very similar. The townspeople were happy and lived in perfection until Pokey brainwashed everyone with happy boxes. But the world was eventually purified by the dragon.

  • @thefinalfrontier1701 As for Pokey, he's sealed for eternity in the Absolutely Safe Capsule.

  • I think your write Hinawa and Cluas are alive! Oh and one more thing Tim the other comments have a lot of crap about God and "his" intentions, do you really want people taking about God in your video comments?? They could get each other really mad at each other!!! : ( That might not be good.

  • I don't care if God allows suffering "because we do" or whatever. If God really is omnipotent and omnicient and all that, he is a jackass for allowing the amount of suffering in this world.

  • I am glad that you care about the characters. The world is better off when we believe that happy ending can occur. I am glad Claus is alive with Lucas.

  • Finished watching this LP in 2012 - thanks for making an LP on such a great game! :)

  • Oh man. I've watched this LP from the beginning to the end in a matter of 5 days or so with minor difficulty. But anyway. I honestly kind of agree with your ending comments. Why else would we be suffering this much if it wasn't (well in some people's minds) our creator who set us up in this figurative stage and made us do what we're doing?

  • @Topigot I've been studying the bible, and it really gets complicated. We have free will, but we are lead and destined to do what we do, and what is planned for our lives is predetermined, even against our own wills.

In a way, god has made it so that we must suffer, so that we will draw closer to him. If our lives were easy and everything was handed to us, what would be the point of going to heaven, where we won't have to deal with life?

That's what I get out of it, anyways.

  • Notice the title at the end is ade with wood...

  • @Kilava1231 *made

  • In a way, it doesn't matter who was or wasn't brought back to life. In the beginning, Claus went off in a fit of rage, Lucas broke down crying, and Flint spent countless days searching for Claus, all devastated by the turn of events. At the end, everyone, in some shape or form, accepted whatever future that Lucas might bring from pulling the needle. Hinawa is content watching over them, Claus is happy to join his mother, Flint has his closure finding Claus, and Lucas brings about the future.

  • As long as were speculating ...

From what I've seen I think that the world had ended, The entire world was destroyed. Everyone on the islands died in the reawakening of the Dark Dragon. What the Dragon did with Lucas' Heart is exactly what they said, the world was reborn. The entire story started over, Lucas's heart gave the Dragon power to shield the new world, causing porkey to miss that particular place in his random time warping.

It's not exactly backed by hard facts, but it's a happy end.

  • @stinkypitz0005 except that the ending made it clear that nobody died in the reawakening of the dark dragon.

  • Drago's are a species, so there are more than the affected group of Drago's, Hinawa and Claus technically being killed years before the awakening of the Dragon, though his soul was trapped so his body could use P.K. Love (my theory). But still, it is a sad loss, both of them

  • This is concerning what you said about God creating man in His own image. Going based on the Bible, we were made like him in the garden of Eden but we were tempted by the serpent who fooled Eve.We may have been made in his image, but we were made with free will.

  • @cdcash912 that's right. And unfortunetly, with this free will, many people choose bad over good. The devastation brought unto this earth is our fault, not the Lord's, because that is what we (not reffering to everyone or myself, but enough people to influence things) so choose. Sometimes what happens is not a direct result of our actions, but our actions do have a role in the things that go on in this world, both good and bad. I hope I made sense with my rambling

  • @Kilava1231 Your rambling sounds like my rambling. We have to be careful with our actions. We can choose whether or not to do what is right or wrong, and different options will open up for us depending what we choose. If we aren't careful, then eventually we will lead others to follow in the actions that we've deemed are wrong. We have to be willing to make the right choices wherever we may be at.

  • @cdcash912 Ephesians 2:10. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance to do.

Not the exact quote I want, but the main point is that even though we have free will, we are still destined to make the choices we make, it's just that it's by our own will that we choose them.

There is another quote that says that God knows all things, even what what we today, 2000 years after the bible is written, will choose to do.

  • @cdcash912 In short, we may have free will, but God already knows all that will happen.

He knows all the hairs on our head, and all the men of the world.

We are tested everyday to see if the choices we make will allow us into the gates of heaven, even though the choices we make are already known.

  • You like happy endings, Tim. There are many of us who do. And I think that even those who say they don't like them truly long for a happy ending deep down inside. Or they would, if only they had more hope for a happy ending to their own story. I think that longing for a happy ending is part of the image of God in us. Great thoughts; thanks so much for sharing.

  • The universe reborn

Claus and lucas find porky's safe capsule

L&C: hey porky mind if we play with you

    Porky: No

L&C: too bad Whee rolly rolly

    Porky: STOP IT DAMN IT

Claus: hey porky want me to PULL you out of the capsule

    Porky: OMG not this again!

  • I don't have the words to thank you, Tim. All I can say is that there really is not a better game for such an amazing man to introduce me to. Simply a fantastic game played by a wonderful person

  • i really don't have anything to say really i don't. i love all the mother games but this one made me cry and made me think more about life it self. not what i have or own just to go on with life and what ever good or bad thing i pick up along my journey is to make the best of it and move on.

i love all your lets plays and what you do thank you for that

and Nintendo for this game that touch many hearts of people thank you all for every thing

sorry for all this stuff but just had to get it out.

  • Holy FuckBalls I love this game!!!

  • About God making people suffer. He did create humans in his image, and people do sometimes torture characters they make. But then other people make sure their characters are safe. Don't forget the devil can tempt us still, while God tries to lead us from temptation. And about children starving and people going off to die in wars and things like that, i will always remember the words a wise man once said, that he sees trees of green and skies of blue. "What a Wonderful World". Loved the LP, NCS!

  • @Instintaneous On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us.

*For He shall lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. *

  • @Instintaneous oh okay so you think that children starving and people dying in wars is beautiful? because you're sentence structure makes it seem that way.

  • *POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

This would also allow for the story in Super Smash Bros. Brawl which allows Ness and Lucas to coexist in the same "world". Plus, that would also explain why Pokey/Porky would face Ness and Lucas together in the city ruins, aka New Pork City.

  • I believe that since the "orld"was reborn, I believe that the world before the "white ship" came and took them to the islands would be reborn, and that the people that were on the white ship would go back to the way there before all of this happened, and Claus and Hinowa would be alive. I believe that instead of the little villages, they would go back to the jobs/roles they had at the end of Mother 2/Earthbound. That is just the way that I believe it should end.

  • I think that Lucas did bring back Hinawa and Claus, because he reshaped the world, right? And he missed his mom and brother when they were gone, so why wouldn't he bring them back?

I don't think that makes Hinawa's sacrifice meaningless either, because at the end everyone thanked Lucas for saving the world, so they remembered everything, including how she was willing to risk her life for her kids.

    That's my thinking. :3

  • they came back to life when they pulled the last pin. Think of it like dragon ball z. The dragon brought back the people who were once dead to reset the order of things

  • I'm sorry I don't believe in gods in a slightest bit I go with science and logic

  • @epicfail12336 But science is the fundamental laws that God has created for nature and the world to work the way it does.

It is scientists that have removed God from science, so that they would still have questions to answer.

If you have God and science working together, all questions are answered. What would be the point of seeking answers to questions that already have answers?

Scientists removed God so that they would still have mysteries for them to vainly try and solve.

  • to nintendocaprisun. when you talked about religious stuff... read the bible. It says God created man in his own image, all was good until the devil tempted them to do wrong, they did wrong and every thing was wrong. To those who beleive that God is good, may the Lord be with you, to those who do not... ill be praying.

  • @Gblade12 This is true. God is love. God is good.

For those who believe otherwise,.... I'll be praying along side you.

  • who heard the 8 melodies at the end?

  • Thanks for a good experience the past two weeks as I watched this on my iPod that is not covered with tears.

  • The worst part of this LP was that it had to end

  • Whaddya mean the Dragos have no fanboys?! They're fucking awesome! I'll be their first fanboy, damnit!

oh, and also, this game deserves a fucking STANDING OVATION. thank you Shigesato Itoi, thank you.

  • I choose to believe in happy endings myself. So in my ending everyone comes back and Porky grows up and stops being selfish. Yeah I know like would be boring if everything was perfect but I like it that way.

  • it's just human nature to destroy. I remember when I was four I used to build gigantic (to me atleast) towers out of legos and then just when i felt that it was high enough i would knock it down and laugh. Also when I turned ten I played simcity for the first time and I would spend days building a perfect city only to place a bunch of nuclear reactors everywhere and watch them blow up. I guess it could be selfish to derive excitement or joy out of this but so be it.

  • As i was watching the ending sequence and heard you talking about how most people create their own endings, i thought of one myself. a minute or so later, you began to repeat the ending exactly how i saw it. i agree with you 100% on the ending. (this may be using content form the last video, i watched this one immediately after the last)

  • I'm just concerned as to what became of Porky...

  • @MutekiRarus Porky will be encased in the Absolutely Safe Capsule until the end of time, forced to watch the universe end around him, then continue to live on due to his immortality.

  • I have read that someone had thought up the theory that the beginning is the end. That makes sense! EVERYONE was brought back to life and had their memories erased and the advanced technology dissappeared. EVEN the Absolutely Safe Capsule, so everything happens all over again! But that's if you replay the game. If you don't replay the game the world was destroyed.

  • @duddideus

    Wow, yeah, I totally agree.

  • I watch games/movies/etc for the happy endings. If I want sad endings, I'll just turn on the evening news.

  • Part of what makes a work of fiction good is its ability to invoke emotions, and many feel that the sadness that comes from the death of Hinawa and Claus would be ruined by should they be alive again, especially when they would consider it artificial or fake. In fact, it could be argued that having them alive again is the selfish route, as few would actually want them to die. Ultimately, though, I think for most people it simply comes down to whether they see them being alive as happy or fake.

  • I wonder if Tim knows about the fan game, Mother 4, that's being made... It looks pretty awesome. I hope he LPs it someday after its finished.

  • I lke how they mention the player at the end.

  • so you believe in God to well i am glad i will see ya soon!

  • There are a lot of things that would suggest that the world was recreated into it's old self before any of this pokey nonsense happened. You have pointed out some good ones and I've noticed some of my own too, like how the title screen in the end is all wood (referring that it was reverted) when the title screen when you start has metal on half of it like porky would have recreated it. But all in all I guess it would depend on what the player's heart feels, as that is what is told in the game.

  • hay tim seeing how you love the mother games

you should try "touhou mother" it's a fan made game but it

really does feel like a mother game but it is a lot more difficult but fun all at the same time i wont type any thing to spoiler it in cast you want to play it but if you do

you will have to type touhou mother into google search and it the very first one

and it a little hard to install

  • this game and allow more people to become fans of this wonderful series. what do you guys think. you think its a good idea, think im crazy, dont personally like the idea?

  • what i personally think is that Nintendo doesnt need to make the mother games into english, the fans already did a better job then they probably could of done. what i think is that they should remake Earthbound for like the DS or the Wii or somthing and make it a little more redefined and a little more like this game, a bit more story, better sprites, much more open and diverse soundtrack, of a game that already had a diverse soundtrack for its time, and let modern people know the wonders of

  • i cried when claus died :(

  • The best stories have an open ending.

  • I could never let my characters to go through a lot of pain for no reason, and I believe something from another comment, we are in Mother 4, and Lucas wished to create a new world (this one) and of course they died, just of old age, and that is what I believe.

  • For some reason I really want them to be alive again but somthing inside of me is going against it. Maybe it's logic. How I hate logic

  • I believe claus and hinawa came back

  • I agree with whitemageserenia's idea that the island was destroyed and everyone was reborn/reconstructed into their past life mentioned earlier and I assume that included Hinawa and Claus

  • Basically (and this MY belief take it for what you will) God is a parent essentially. The Bible says in several places (and I can't quote the places it says it, I don't know the bible as well as I should) that the wages of sin is death and it's only by repentance and his mercy and love that you don't die from just sinning period.

  • To me it looks like everything would go back to the way it was before Porkey/Pokey showed up in their time, and also all the land that was lost is coming back which explains the volcanoes and fire.

  • Do the secret ending! Please NCS :D

  • everbody comes back

  • I'm not offended that you said anything about God. I am, however, offended that you didn't say anything about Hinawa when her picture came up. I wanted to hear you sentimentality again when that came up.

  • Very philisophical game

  • Comment removed

  • it wouldn't make sense for hinawa and claus to be reborn because then where would you draw the line? would everybody who died before the final needle was pulled be reborn? that would mean everyone for centuries before the needle being pulled would be too and the island is only so big. it's a paradox. and it's also a little selfish to say that only hinawa and claus are the only ones who died before the needle being pulled that were reborn

  • @theBalls0926 Your point is valid but the game gives various hints and clues that only any form of natural life involved with the incident, AKA the fire all the way to when Lucas makes his wish after the dragon was reborn, would be affected by the wish. Lucas' wish could have been for everything to go back to the way it was before the fire. (Revolving story) Or for a world where the pigmasks never interfered with life. AKA no fire, no MechaDrago and a new start for everyone.

  • @theBalls0926 now that's the explanation i was looking for. well played sir.

  • @theBalls0926 Why Thank you

  • @theBalls0926 if the Dragos were reborn, then how could whoever thinks that be selfish because only Hinawa and Claus were reborn? it's like ignoring the fact that someone else got brought back from the dead, and saying only this person was brought back... but you still have a valid point, where would you draw the line? I'd draw the line at just before where the Pigmasks interfered, so the Dragos, Hinawa, Claus, and everyone they met on there adventure, even if it includes Porky.

  • @theBalls0926 me too

  • Wow this was an awsome lp i hope sometime u decided to do that ending u were talking about

  • @NintendoCapriSun -they felt during that bad experience and to give a lesson to others. That's why Itoi did so great with the Mother series; he incorporated his own experiences, beliefs and lessons as well as the target audience's, to make a great emotional game that wouldn't be biased either. He really is an artistic person.

  • @NintendoCapriSun I believe the same as you when it comes to the ending; the world is reborn, as it should be, along with Hinawa and Claus (so this means that, technically, Ninten and Ness and the others are back too if they ever died), and the world is given a second chance of sorts. But about the whole suffering characters thing. People put suffering into stories for drama, you're right. But it's also because the author wants to blend in their bad experiences with the story, to express what-

  • You are seriously one of the most thought provoking let' players on the internet, you are so intresting and your commentary is brilliant, it is excellent watching you, thank you :)

  • In my interperetation, not only is everyone alive, but Porky becomes a good person. I wish there could be a popular story where the "villain" is inspired to become good instead of them DIEING or something.

  • I heard the 8 melodies in the ending credits as NCS waz talking. Lolz I started singing along as NCS is blabbering bout Claus & Hinawa is still alive Lolz XD

  • Who else noticed that the ending screen showing mother 3 had the letters for Mother 3 in wood instead of the silver that was shown at the beginning title screen? and that the "O" was now a planet like Earth? I found this to be very interesting and can influence theories about this game even further

  • my ending is porky does not come so its all like it didint happen

  • (sorry, character count)

Then they lived new lives in total harmony with nature once more(hence the new title screen where it's all wood as opposed to partially metal) As they rebuild, the pigmasks and fassad realize what they have done is wrong, and help start their new lives.

  • The way I see it, the dragos, hinawa and claus are brought back, having what happened undone, as for everyone else, they survived through a form of forcefield that protected them from the destruction shown. The reason being that the masked man had a partial influence causing the horrors of nature to be released with the dragon, whereas Lucas had the majority of the power, which preserved/renewed all life. Which is why they said some sort of miracle happened and they all survived. Then they live

  • I completely agree with your whole rant; and it's never wrong to care for your creations... in my eyes that makes you a monster....

I also agree on your view of everyone being reborn; to be honest if I didn't think that I probably wouldn't be able to cope (call me what you will but I get REALLY bad when it comes to emotional stuff) with the sheer sadness that this game causes...

Ugh, I bet I sound all soppy or somthing now...but it's the truth (yes I do love using elipses)

  • You're right.

  • They're in the credits and if scamp and the drago came back they must have too all LIFE and TIME was reborn.

  • There's nothing wrong with speculation. You never make an ass of yourself. And never, NEVER forget that all your fans are behind you 100% no matter what.

  • You're not making an ass of yourself. Speculation should never offend anybody, and anybody who IS offended by it deserves that sort of negative emotion.

  • This was just an amazing game, thanks to your LP I am really getting into the mother series. I started today on mother 1 XD

  • @NintendoCapriSun ...but this one I actually liked.

  • @NintendoCapriSun I really do hate most happy endings...They put everything but me to shame.I scoff when disaster is aborted....I laugh as a certain kid named Bruno goes off to a certain room...I spit on the idiots who falsely take their place upon another's great and hard work of building all the way up to the throne...If any to all I suppose I am just Porky...Oh well...I look away to those who break the evil side's pride and glory...In a simple sense I do hate happy Egotistical endings...

  • Tim, thank you so much for making an LP of such an absolutely incredible game. I sat and marathon-d the entire thing over the course of a few days. If it weren't for this LP, I may never have gotten the chance to experience one of the most amazing games on the Gameboy Advance. Thank you so much. (I'd count the number of times that I teared up during it, but it's pretty hard to count them all...)

  • I heard about this game in one of your Mega Man LPs and thought I'd at least check it out. I absolutely loved watching this playthrough, going to check out the FF6 one next. :D

  • Yeah i agree OBVIOUSLY Lucas created that new world with the dragon's power

He would want Hinawa and Claus to be alive

  • Hinawa & Claus are alive. Seeing as all came back to life, this includes those two. There, done.

  • Hinawa & Claus are alive. There, done.

  • well, the way i see it is that lucas recreated a world over the previous, a world tat he envisions, which contains how he wants the world to be, everyone he nows is restored and unbrainwased, claus and hinawa are there, and everything is free of evil, like in the beginning, and that's why when it says he final 'END' message after the credits, the title 'MOTHER 3' is made out of wood, instead of the half-wood half-steel title we see in the beginning of the game

btw porky is there coz he can't die

  • Hmm, world remade with the chimareas probably being restored as much as possible...

In Pokemon Black and White, there is something about twins and dragons in the local folklore involving the founding of a new world, and there was legend of them fighting eachother... and some of the pokemon look quite a bit like the chimeras, only with more streamlined bodies.

coincidence? I think not. The pokemon series is in the same universe as the mother series, and N is descended from lucas or claus.

  • This video has brought about some incredibly high comment quality compared to most videos on YouTube. I don't know whether that speaks more about the depth of the game, the player, or his subscribers.

  • you have some interesting views on things. i myself being a writer don't generally let my characters suffer except for one that is quite complicated and semi out of mu control. but things need to be bad for them to me right again. i don't know, my mother3 theory though is that the world is destroyed by the dragon and created again anew, with new people new environments and the old characters are just joyful memories in our hearts. have to move on, they played their part but now its at an end...?

  • ya know when they say that cluase dieing before the dragon came dossent mean he comes back to life techneccally he was alive when the dragon came he was just taken over so technecally he was alive when the dragon came so he did come back to life and if he came to life they have to bring hinawa to life also

  • 4:01 MOTHER 2 Songs.

  • 3:29 - MOTHER Songs.

  • In my copy of Pokémon LeafGreen I nicknamed my Dragonite "Drago".

  • Very interesting thoughts near the end. I don't think when creating a story you play the role of god, influencing the fate of the characters. I mean, in a way you do but it's also something you just let go off and let develope for good or for bad. I think the happy ending works here though.

  • I also believe they're back.

  • I can understand why someone would want to think that Hinawa and Claus are dead. Personally, I'd like to believe that they're alive and no one remembers the events of the game.

  • :')

  • At the Staff Credits they were playing the 8 melodies from Earthbound Zero.

  • Man. Made me cry at the start and at the end of this game. Not a single one of the newer games did that. Makes me wonder why the Mother series is so looked down upon by Itoi and the other creators, probably one of the greatest RPGs that ever existed because it actually had a touching story. I'm gonna go there and say that it beats the entire FF series. No one has to agree.

  • @nico641 I honestly think Final Fantasy is actually pretty overrated. When you play a couple of them, they seem incredibly awesome and emotional at first, but as you play more and more, you find out that the stories and characters are pretty much the same thing over and over again, so it gets pretty old. That's why there's only a couple games in the series that I truly love, while the others I think are good, but that there are better RPGs out there.

  • @PsychoKrazyTime My opinion exactly. I'm gonna go there and say that Final Fantasy X And possibly VI and IX were the only RPGs of the "emotional age" that actually were decent enough to make me feel along with the story. As for the other parts of the series I either haven't played or didn't care about. Everything after X was either a crappy MMO or something revamped. X-2 was a Fail and so will XIII-2 be. Personally I'm more a fan of real time based games, like the Tales series.

  • @nico641 Eh, I don't know. I liked FFX-2 and I'm sure XIII-2 will be good too. At the very least I thought it was a fun game. I don't really know about the MMOs because I don't play those. I think my favourite series has to be Shadow Hearts because it has a timing combo system like this game does.

  • once again an awesome lp dude. ive watched ur earthbound 1 and now ur mother 3 lp and they are both sik! i wish i cuda played both the games myself, at first i fort i'd think earthbound was better but mother 3 is just as good. thanks again for the time and effort u put into ur lp dude keep it up lol

  • 3:27 Mother 1's 8 melodies.

I'm surprised so few people have mentioned this lol.

  • Thumbs Up if you think if this game ever comes to America on WII's virtual console it should be called EarthBound II: BrotherHood.

  • @theBunnyLazah but should show you what really happens? i think i would like that

  • This is probably my all time favorite LP

  • @SuperMRkman poor soul, reduced to trolling on the purest of videos out of an irreversibly deep hatred...God be with you, and save you from the pit you dug yourself. TT-TT

  • Good argument, NCS. I think people just have a problem with bringing Hinawa and Claus back to life because they feel like it ruins the emotional development Lucas went through over the course of the game that turned him from a crybaby and into a hero. This would include Lucas coming to terms with his mother and brother's deaths.

However, would reviving them really change anything? Would Lucas really go back to being a crybaby after everything else he's been through? I really doubt it.

  • So this is my second time watching this whole LP, and I think I get the ending at this point.

Based on the apocalypse the game showed at the end, I have to think that everyone died.

Everyone is dead, but they don't know it. They're all together in heaven. Hinawa, Claus, everyone. All together.

I don't know if it's wonderful, or tragic. But that's what makes the most sense to me.

  • I love the music at the end credits. beautiful

  • Tim now everyone believe it, but i still hate those who think dusterxkumatora, they are a 12 year apart XD yet all the fanart is that and not lucas x kumatora, just why >_<

  • I personally think Claus and Lucas were two different endings for the same story. Claus wanted revenge for what had happened, but that led to him becoming the Masked Man, which led to his demise. Lucas was different, because he never wanted revenge due to his gentle nature and he ended up stopping the Pigmask army.

  • @blademan916 and getting the girl :D

  • My theroie is that everyones memories have been erased so nobody would remeber and that everyone who died comes back because the dragon had lucas's heart and wouldn't Lucas want his mother and brother back?

  • PK Healing β has its magics....

So I also belive Hinawa and Claus were revived.

  • i balways believed that they we alive at the end too :D :D

  • Wow Tim. You have a really solid debate about religion. Of course i am still an antsiest but i respect you so much :)

  • My theory is this: The player's heart is passed on to the Dark Dragon. It destroys the world and then revives it in the way that the player envisions in their heart.

  • holy shit i heard the song from earthbound zero. idk wats the song called tough

  • @TheFighterking64 You hear the 8 melodies

  • Fuck religion

  • I think why people are okay with the Dragos coming back is because it doesn't really change anyone that much. But if Hinawa and Claus are brought back, Lucas would've remained a cry baby. Which obviously isn't a good thing. So in my ending, Hinawa and Claus are brought back, but everyone retains their memory, new personality traits, etc.

I partially disagree, I think we like seeing people suffer, but to also see them rise against it and change their lives, as people have in the past.

  • I went and watched some of Mother 1, and I see why your not crazy about it. Its design seems to primitive for an RPG...Ignore my previous request to LP it..

  • What emulator is he using?

  • But...but... but... I'm a Drago fan girl! Have been since day 1!

    Drago > Hinawa and Claus

Have you SEEN that sexy beast?

    Alright, let me stop xD

And also the last picture with Hinawa sending the pigeon out with a smile on her face... come one. She HAS to be back.

  • @whitehousesvc729 i agree because, if i was noticing it right, the pictures were in order. so it would mean she came back at the end.

  • Let's not forget, freaking FASSAD comes back to life. So I think that Claus and Hinawa get to as well.

  • Brilliant LP, one of the best together with earthbound :) keep up the good work ;-)

  • I do truly wish that there was a mother 4 but if you think about it how could you top this? I believe that the reason they refuse to make more is simply the fact that, this is over. You cannot add anything else to an ending like this. We must always accept that there is an ending, and the time to end is now.

  • Hay will you do a hard mode run of this game just to see the diference

  • I belive you NCS they must live :)

  • its strips from 8:19 to 8:21

  • @supersasorimaster672 did i say strips? lol!

  • Thanks to you, this is one of my favorite games of all time. Thank you! You inspired me so much that I made a Mother 3 Lets Play of my own. Check it out. : )

  • I am now a drago fanboy

i agree, they probably came back to life

  • It took me a few months to get it done, but I've finally gone back and watched both your Earthbound and Mother 3 Let's Plays and they are without a doubt some of your best work. Both games could honestly not have impressed me as much as they did without your help and the fact that I want to play them so badly is credited to you. I still have Chrono Trigger and Link's Awakening to go, but I'm almost fully caught up with all your LPs before I found you with Ocarina of Time. I will get it done.

  • No offense, but you got really boring when you were just stating the same thing OVER AND OVER! You should have talked about what's going on onscreen.

  • Lydia X Pigmask Man!

  • they said ALL life and ALL time was reborn keyword ALL

  • I agree with your "time being reborn" ending. I mean, just look at the title after the credits. It's all wood instead of part metal like the official logo. It represents that the industrialized way of life was not introduced to the reborn time.
