Agree with all of the above and even more that hippies contributed. So many social revolutions that have entered the mainstream, starting with health food. At the end she said hippies, do smell. Well, some did in the sixties, but they got with the Right Guard after that. LOL
its not the musicians, poets and trend setters that people get annoyed with, it's the ones who make ridiculous comments about lizard people and seeing you're aura that gives the rest of them a bad name and serves to de-legitimize the populist anger that is the Occupy movement.
i am a hippie. i lived in a school bus, showered outside, saw the dead one hundred and eleven times. i have lived in not one and not two but three tipis, a tree house and have a friend who lived in a dead redwood tree stump with boughs over over for a roof.she packed her water almost three miles.i drove a milk van with mr natural painted on the hood through rush hour atlanta traffic.i recycled when i had to drive twenty miles to do so . turns out the hippies were right.you're welcome.peace.
