but when you sound like cleveland off of the family guy it makes the fj sound soooo sexy. to bad the cluch start cancle has been in toyotas for yrs. my 1st truck was a 89 4x4 w the 22RE. had the same button. So did my 92 3.0 V6 4x4.

I hate when they come out with a car with too much plastic and then paint those pieces after 5 years of being in production. Just look at the honda element, toyota fj should follow the same. This vehicle looks like a cheap xterra.
i owned a xterra, biggest pile of shit ever made, engine exploded after a couple years, and bought the FJ crusier and holy shit, shit lot more power and towing power, QUALITY parts and engine, nissian = pile of fucking shit
Thats too bad, maybe it was the engine drivetrain combination. I've know the nissan v6 to be a very robust engine in the pathfinder and altima. My friend redlined his altima from day one brand new to 50k miles. Never burned a drop of oil. The xterra does suck though. Rear leafs? Come on, this isn't general motors, update that shit.
Yes the FJ makes an exelent long distance cruiser. the ride is soft and supple not bouncy like a Jeep. It's a 4runer with a shorter wheel base and a cooler body. The only problem is back seat room is just ok and i wish it had more cup holders. But great truck all around to live with day to day.
I drove my 6 speed FJ when I moved from KS to south FL, made it in 3 days, stopping for gas, food and for sleeping. Oh, and I was pulling a full car dolly with my other car on it. Both the FJ and the car were full of stuff and my wife and son were with me too. The FJ didn't break a sweat. Drove like a champ...
i agree samurai but i think for different reasons, its like saying the atom bomb has a real nice *pop* to it . lol, stupid analogy now that i just typed it but you get what im saying, my buddy has a pretty pissed off samurai but Nothing better than my FJ. ;) take care man.

wow thats ugly, it will be so dated looking in 5 years. if it was a "true" off roader, it wouldent have independent suspension.
