I don't know, there was some bad vibes in the eighties too. You had the Cold War going on and people for the first part of the decade were still trying not to get blown up or invaded by the Soviets, i.e. The Day After, Amerika, and Chuck Norris in Invasion USA. Don't get started about inflation how bad the economy was for the first part of the decade. I think what you mean by magical is Yuppish. You probably miss the perception of Yuppidom. Great video treatment of a memorable Rupert Holmes song. I remember hearing that he actually didn't care for the pina colada drink itself. But after the song was released people kept coming up to him offering to buy him a pina colada. It took years to finally convince everyone that he didn't want one. Unintended consequences, huh?

Good ear! I did have to cut out some of the song, at the request of my instructor. I had a limited amount of footage, and to stretch it out over the whole verse made it rather boring. If I could re-shoot, I would.
