  • I miss those cute, little guys :)

  • you know what's funny? in reality they shouldn't have died, cause if they would've screened their DNA, there couldn't appear any genetic deterioration, and like pirated games each working copy will be as good as the first.

  • Come on everyone, all this comparing Asgard to Ancients. Ancients are willing to stop someone who's trying to stop the Goa'uld (like when Daniel Jackson tried to stop Anubis when he attacked Abydos). No matter how advanced they are. Their behaviour is just so wrong.

  • @johnnydead1 So yeah, Daniel was once ascended and tried to stop Anubis. But the Ancients helped Anubis. I think assisting someone to destroy the galaxy is a crime against humanity and the Ancients should be punished. I know there's a device called Sangraal which can destroy the stupid race once forever. Anyone?

  • @johnnydead1 Actually, what they are doing is following the rules of ascension. In the ascension planes of existence they aren't supposed to have any contact in the mortal world... nobody seems to understand that

  • @awesomedudemee But it's them who made up this rules. They always ask: "If we interfere, are we better than Ori?" Well, my answer to them is: If you have the power to prevent innocent from suffering, and don't use it just because you chose not to, then obviously you're not much better than Ori. Period.

  • @johnnydead1 I'm not sure if they made UP the rules, because i've heard from some people that the rules already existed, they just had to follow it. But i still see your point in it, they have the power to end the ori, to end the slavery, but they just wouldn't' do it.

  • I never thought I'd cry at a fictional character's death. But the Tollan, most of the Tok'ra, countless free jaffa, the abydonians, and then the Asgard's death just topped it all off. Rest in peace.

  • @MrFollf Yeah, the Tollan's death caught me by surprise too. After that episode I sat around feeling lost for a few minutes :D

  • End of the Asgard was just.... stupid.

  • @daliborkomaromi

I'd say that Tollans deserve price for most stupid end ever...

  • Loved the Asgard but I think the shape of their ships showed they were seriously overcompensating :)

  • @Daehawk

Not to mentioned the SIZE - Bliskner was far larger than G'oauld motherships / H'ataks and yet dwarfed by O'Neil class (which I like even better than Romulan D'Deridex or Minbari Sharlin class).

  • @Daehawk ikr, Ancient ships - big long things with a face in the front.

  • RIP stargate

  • tell me the song, i beg you :)

  • what is the song ?

  • PERKELE!

  • Now actually... if they didn't blow themselves up cuz they failed to clone themselves...

  • I loved the Asagrad, it's a shame they werent givent more of a fighting chance from the series writers.

  • @TheCJFace

I think it was done with greater purpose in mind, and though I pity Asgard, i loved how SG-1 writers discard one major race after another (Tollans, Asgard) - showing that technology isn't the ultimate solution.

  • @AnteyPL Agree with you on the technology part.

  • What episode is 1:05

  • lol when they start dialing the gate the address is to abydos........

  • which episode is that at 0:52 ????

  • I like how asgard beam weapons are extremely effective against most types of shields and hull plating, all ori, wraith, and ancient type defenses seem to be highly vulnerable to asgard offensive technology. Even Asgard shields repel most attacks effectively.

  • Whats the music?

  • Hallowed Are The Ori

    Spread the cult.

  • @JackofAllTrades799 haha lol. didnt the Ori die off in the movie? but yeah soon youll know the Will of Origin will over take Christianity. haha lol.. Istead of going to church and worshipping the "Lord" well worship and praise the Ori through Priors like the Chatholic church has.. haha lol...

  • In the last episode of sg1 the asgard gave us "everything they have and know". so that must include the memory or storage of all their consiousnes. It might be possible to bring them back if we could find the evil asgard and steal the technology or research they used to stop their genetic breakdown. once we do that we could clone the asgard again download the consiouness and fix their breakdown

  • @dasaxophonist yes, that would be great though but they ended the series though what a sad thing to do.

  • @dasaxophonist good idea, but i think the good asgard would consider it dihonerable due to the reason it was obtainen and decline further use

  • @loceelen the methods of finding the cure was the reason they didnt want to do it. but the cure is already found, so I doubt they would have much problem with it because they weren't the ones who killed anyone

  • @dasaxophonist it extually sounds like something they'd do in the series, if there was any stargate serie left

  • @dasaxophonist okay i am on it!

  • @dasaxophonist There was an episode of Stargate Atlantis where they found the evil Asgard. John Sheppard's crew blew up their planet after they tried to destroy all the stargates in the Pegasus Galaxy.

  • @InMooseWeTrust go watch that episode again man. for one that wasnt their planet, it was an ancient outpost lab. two the asgard who captured them escaped, and three the planet wasn't destoryed, they just hyperspaced threw it. plus that was just a few of the evil asgard, there is still a whole civilization of them out there. not tryin to be mean, just sayin lol

  • Hallowed Are The Ori

"And those to prideful to bow down, shall be laid low and made unto dust"- Doci

  • I really like the asgard more than the ancients second to that...

  • There actually are aliens very similar to this hovering over our planet right now.

  • somewere you see an Asgard entering a room with papparazzi. It seems like this is on Earth. In wich Episode? The scene I'm talking about starts at 2.03 min.

And they're so cute!! the way they close their jetblack eyes, how small they are.

  • @JillWouters Itäs from season 8. It's not a "real" asgard because an asgard conscosiusness isn't inside the clone body.

  • @SternMann93 but what episode?

  • @zephspacer 8x08 Covenant

  • I love those Asguard. :) if it had not been for those darned replacers I think they would have lived much longer. Love those guys.

By the way, aren't their voices just awesome too? So funny.

  • oh, those big and cute eyes...i believe they were superior to the ancients, in a asgard-ancients war they would've won...proof: the energy weapon on b304 is asgard and it overpowers aurora class (as seen in sg atlantis)...and they were way better tacticians

  • @waisehell stupid. it was ancient weaponry that easily destoryed the replicators when asgard couldnt. not to mention how thor admitted that all this time they only scratched the surface of the ancients library of knowledge. in that time the ancients ascended while the asgard blew themselves up.

  • I really think if the asgard would have been much more powerful than the ancients if they continued on their legacy and did not kill themselves. I really love the Asgard race...

  • @cherrehyo Great power brings great responsibility. Ancients don't realize that and are irresponsible... They have the power to stop the evil, but don't use it. There's no reason to admire someone who is looking at innocent people suffering and can do something about it, but doesn't want to. Ancients suck. Asgard 4EVER !!!

  • @cherrehyo yes i really love the asgard too, but i wished they were as much smarter as the ancients and that they filmed an entire episode were they both met. I really think that they wouldve been rivals though but im sad that they had to exit like they did.

  • @cherrehyo nah, they openly admitted when they saw the ancients library they barely scratched the surface. and that was with all the time they had when ancients already ascended.

which the asgard never could either.

i dont like it either this whole ancient thing seems over powered, but thats how it was in the show.

  • @angryaznman I agree, though I think they countered that by making the ANcients slightly naieve and apparently poor decision makers (trying to destroy their own creations, the Asurans, charging into Wraith lines which resulted in the Wraith capturing their technology, unwilling to use weapons that could have saved them like the Aterro device, etc.) So, we had a race that was very powerful but in the end was lost because it was outnumbered by the Wraith, devastated with the plague of the Ori -

  • @cherrehyo They were dying anyway because of the virus that was accidentally created during their search for a way to correct their genetic degradation. They just chose to end their civilization on their own terms.

  • @cherrehyo Well we know their beam weapons could pretty much annihilate Ori shields and Wraith ships. I think they lacked in their understanding of the esoteric that the Ancients pursued (after all, the Ancients had people who developed time travel, interdimensional travel, had evolved incredible abilities, ascended, etc) - it was IMO, the threat of the Replicators that drove their weapons research.

  • @cherrehyo

As captain Picard once famously put it "after all... we're only mortal". Ancients went towards ascension, kind of scientific spirituality. Asgard relied only on physical technology.

  • @cherrehyo I love the Asgard also, and they could have saved themselves and everyone else, and even become immortal without ascension, if only they considered other points of view and other solutions to their problem! Instead of fighting the insect-form replicators, they could transform themselves into the Asgard-form replicators, something like the Asurans, simply by creating new bodies of neutronium, thus solving their genetic degradation problems and becoming masters of bug-form replicators!

  • @NecronAsuran After downloading their minds into new replicator bodies, and becoming masters of bug-form replicators, they could easily restore their empire, wipe the system lords and the wraith, and then reprogram the Asurans to serve their cause and to gain almost all technological advances of the Ancients! After that, they could easily defeat the Ori, without the help of Merlin or Ganos Lal! And those hopeless people aboard Destiny, they wouldn't even be there! Comments, suggestions, ... :-)

  • @NecronAsuran omfg, you just solved the Stargate franchise! Don't let anything stop you!

  • @cherrehyo Quite possibly... but they'd have to reach the ancients crap that allowed them to ascend... first off they'd have to build flying cities xD!

  • @awesomedudemee We don't know how old the asgard actually are, but we know the ancients left their home galaxy 50 million years ago and came to the milky way. So as far as we know, they could be 50 million years more advanced than the asgard.

  • @cherrehyo they r not all dead look at sga they never said what happened to the rogue asgard

  • I wonder how the Asgard survived before they had technology were they like really hairy beefy cavemen or what? O.o

  • @TheRandomrain Well how could we know? They're race has evolved along with technology for so long that they have had no evolutionary need to be physichally strong for thousands of years.

  • asgard are the true gods of the galaxy:D and what is the name of the song?:)

  • j'ador cette video elle et superbe beau boulo robinetdu17 je trouve cette video fantastique elle met en valeur ma rece preferer les asgard !!!!
