Germany had no problem trying to annihilate any country in its way during WW1, but then they moan because they have to deal with the realities of losing a war in which they were the aggressor. Then they break the versailles treaty which they signed because they tried to avoid being occupied. Coolidge suggested ceding the Sudetenland to Germany because the Volksdeutsche wanted it. However, at the Paris Peace Talks, Coolidge's proposal was rejected by the American diplomat there, Allen Dulles, the future head of the CIA. So Hitler wasn't exactly wrong in reclaiming the Sudetenland. The ethnic Germans wanted the land to be part of Germany.

History is pretty well-carried out without bias in the average history textbook and historical documentary you'll find. The thing is, though, all this documented footage and pictures of starved corpses has no bias. It's what you interpret from the photograph. So, people who don't care for the slaughtering and torture of people certainly won't care but the majority will. When you tackle a heavy topic like this, you've got to be subtle about bias and I think this does a good job
No one likes a skin-head. Get over it. The narration is not passive-aggressive or opinionated. It gives testimonies from regular Germans as well as oppressed Jews. But are you honestly expecting this to narrate how great it was to be a Nazi? People need to know about this shit so we can never make a mistake like this again. I love how this documentary is created through original footage of the time and mostly all quotes from the people who lived through it. The narrator also keeps from becoming intrusive. The quote from the man who said, "You mark my words, if we are defeated..." is particularly chilling.

Germany had no problem trying to annihilate any country in its way during WW1, but then they moan because they have to deal with the realities of losing a war in which they were the aggressor. Then they break the versailles treaty which they signed because they tried to avoid being occupied. Reminds me how they had no worries about screwing over russia while there was an actual pact signed. The lesson: Don't try to screw over the world if you cant deal with losing.

Coolidge suggested ceding the Sudetenland to Germany because the Volksdeutsche wanted it. However, at the Paris Peace Talks, Coolidge's proposal was rejected by the American diplomat there, Allen Dulles, the future head of the CIA. So Hitler wasn't exactly wrong in reclaiming the Sudetenland. The ethnic Germans wanted the land to be part of Germany.

However, the reason behind Germany's "success" was simply the focusing of all resources on s few sectors such as infrastructure and military industry. Many people got jobs through these sectors, but the basic rule of economy is that you need to "sell" what you produce in order to generate new profit or the economy will stagnate. History is pretty well-carried out without bias in the average history textbook and historical documentary you'll find. The thing is, though, all this documented footage and pictures of starved corpses has no bias. It's what you interpret from the photograph. So, people who don't care for the slaughtering and torture of people certainly won't care but the majority will. When you tackle a heavy topic like this, you've got to be subtle about bias and I think this does a good job

No one likes a skin-head. Get over it. The narration is not passive-aggressive or opinionated. It gives testimonies from regular Germans as well as oppressed Jews. But are you honestly expecting this to narrate how great it was to be a Nazi? People need to know about this shit so we can never make a mistake like this again. This wasn't ancient history; this was the highest, smartest, European society being manipulated into causing mass genocide. This stuff can happen again.

I love how this documentary is created through original footage of the time and mostly all quotes from the people who lived through it. The narrator also keeps from becoming intrusive. The quote from the man who said, "You mark my words, if we are defeated..." is particularly chilling.
