I live in Texas and there for exposed to a lot of the Mexican culture, and I could see this on telemundo. The emphasis on family and the sound just seem strikingly similar to Spanish... odd.
@DZMOST well, the Swiss-German dialect has some similarities with the Italian language because Swiss is the neighboring country. And Italian is a Latin language just like Spanish. They pronounce the "R" on the same way.
@DZMOST what your thinking about is banda music and norteno music that is big in south texas and the north part of mexico.that sound derived from the many germans that settled there and i guess the mexicans loved the sound of their music,
