  • She looks just like my aussie, with a little less grey :)

  • I LOVE the LOVE! It's a beautiful thing. I always told my son if he jumped up in the air when I got home from work the way the dogs do, his would be the first head I patted.

  • awwww this is why people love dogs

  • My dog does this same thing but he doesn't jump, and he has about 5 times more squeling and whining when he sees my cousins or friends

  • @GhillieSasquatch ...Yes, I can believe that. Pema was had even less self-control when she was a younger dog. Even that day, after the video ended, she continued her howling, leaping, and squealing long afterward. It took her a good half-hour to calm down!

  • Translation as to what she was saying: "Don't you ever leave me again! It was horrible they didn't give me nearly enough kibble as you did! Thank Dog you're back! I love you! I love you~!"

  • wow that made me cry.

  • That's awesome, what a great dog

  • aaaaaaaw puppy missed his mama <3 so cute <3

  • I LOVE this! Nobody will ever love you like your dog. My two Aussies are the same way.

  • What a great video! My Aussie pup (5 months) is the same way, but we're trying to train him not to jump since we're afraid he can scare or accidentally scrape a non-dog owner and get himself and us in trouble. Any tips?

  • @DimitrySF It is indeed a good idea to train the pup not to jump like this, as many people are not receptive to this behavior, and, yes, some are frightened by Aussies (particularly when they have the "blue-eyed wolf" look, as Pema does). I think you can put out your knee and give the command, "Sit." Also, don't reward him by being happy and cuddly when he does jump up, as I do with Pema (she's over the hill now and so it would be hard to train her--and me--to stop the joyful love-fests).

  • @DimitrySF A fantastic way to train dogs not to jump is to attach their leash, step on the leash with your foot so that they have enough leash to sit up straight and still have a little tiny bit of slack. Get them excited so they attempt to jump. The leash being grounded by your foot will stop them from being able to jump up. Routinely do this, and you're set, worked GREAT for my aussie/collie mix.

  • oh my thnks you are awesome my aussie grabbed my sleev and pulled me to the ground after i got back from europe i hated leaving him love is a wonderful thing,,,,,,,,,

  • I Love this

  • I think that that dogie loves you. Funny part is that on the inside you were hoping around just as much.

  • @cyortiz05

That's very true...I think I am just as thrilled to see her as she is to see me!

  • That just makes my night!!!

  • this has happened to me many times with aussies, sheps, and my latest wolf malmute. also an irish setter. they never forget a friend. dog is spelled backwards

  • I hope I get this reaction from my Aussie when I come home from college. I miss him...

  • I had to knee my aussie in the chest to break him of that. Its cute til they start doing on other people!!

  • Pema is so sweet. (: When my grandad came back from the air force after two years, his German Shepherd still remembered him, & as a result, started crying & jumping all around. I suppose herding dogs are full of loyalty. ^_^

  • my aussie will do this after like 3 days of me being gone and i love it

  • Absolutely Adorable. Heart melting. Nothing like the love of a dog and especially an Aussie. I love the way they cling to your leg or sit on your foot. Very special

  • Mick used to sit on peoples feet! i thought that he was the only one to do that haha. my favorite was when we were sitting on the floor and he would come over and sit on our lap. hahaha, it didnt matter what you were doing, if you were on the floor, your lap was fair game.

  • Whatsherface, my aussie does the same thing! We call her the Sidewinder or donut dog because of that. I wonder why aussies do that?

Anyway, this is a great video!

  • Awhh thats adorable, for a second she doesn't realize its you...then she knows. My Aussie does the same thing.

  • Cute. Reminds me of my Aussie when I come home after months away :) .

  • LOL!... LOL!... He really loves her... LOL!...

  • My aussie got jealous when I was watching your video! Hahahahaha!!!! Arent they the best!!!!!!

  • My aussies greet like that - it is too cute! I know all about the C dance ;)

  • My aussie does the "C" dance when I come home from college...she curls her body around so her butt is almost touching her head and runs sideways towards you!

  • Whatsherface, mine does the SAME THING!! She looks like a donut when she comes after people! We call her the Sidewinder or the Donut Dog because of that.

Anyway, this is an awesome video. It shows how loving and energetic aussies truly are!

  • Haha, our Aussie boy jumps up like that too. But he was trained by his former owners (agility and such) so when he jumps like that, he always expects us to catch him! lol. Sometimes we do. It's so cute.
