Secure in a marina is a good place to be during a storm like this. Others weren't so fortunate and happened to be out on the lake. They motored into the marina after the storm blew through, their bimini shredded and the boat's interior soaked. Apparently they had been caught with hatches and ports open. They looked a bit frazzled.
Thanks. The 85mph was not my estimate but what the local weather service recorded. It very well could be that we did not experience any 85mph gusts, but certainly others did.

I really dig this place, used to fish for browns not too far from the pierhead.
