Sammi's owner was an amazing example of what love is for your family member, which is what our pets are, family. Sammi was able to stay healthy and happy and his owner kept up with maintenance therapy and home exercises and Sammi lived out his years happily until sadly about over a year ago Sammi lost a battle to cancer. Despite the great loss of Sammi, both Sammi and his owner were able to enjoy those last few years together which they may nothave had the chance to otherwise.
Thank you all for your amazing comments and support!! Sammi had been in an accident and after going to emergency surgery for compressed discs he came to CARE and received comprehensive therapy as you have seen in the video and made an amazing recovery from not being able to even lift his head to being able to walk and even run back to his owner's arms! Sammi is and has remained an inspiration to all of us at California Animal Rehabilitation (CARE).
such an amazing video - and even more inspiring and amazing work you all do. I had a doberman that was only three years old when she needed emergency disc surgery (as she couldn't use her rear legs.) She lived a good long life to the age of twelve.
these animal therapists are great people. the poor dogs probably think they are being tortured with all that therapy work and probably dont realize you are trying to help them but helping them is what matters.
Hi. i just wanted to commend you and everyone involved in C.A.R.E. I hadn't heard of your rehabilitation center until I read the daily breeze this morning. After viewing Sammi's recovery I realize even more how rewarding this must be. You have inspired me to look into this profession, and I thank you :)
Amazing.
