  • I feel chanting is not as important as meditation...only meditation can tap into mind and change a being...

  • @seniorwisdom I do not see the two in conflict. For me, chanting is a form of meditation because I have been able to chant and receive many of the benefits of meditation. From my understanding, 'meditation' actually includes many different ways of going about it. If you mean a silent meditation, then I actually thin that chanting has the clear advantage of using all senses.

  • @diepiriye hah yah!very true chanting is a form of meditation and i didnt mean to sound as if they were in conflict lol.sorry bout that^ I do chanting too however i do more zazen. I feel like more is done with the body and mind in zazen silent meditation but this is just me ya know.meditation is known to be very effective in healing and changing the brain and the way we see life and live it.btw i think i was trying to reply to scaredpiglet hehe.namaste

  • This chant started in India but the Japanese are the ones who built a religion around it. So as far as religions go, this chant makes Buddhism (Sokka Gakkai) the most qualified to be called 'the real thing'. This is the most underrated law we have.

  • This whoops ass. Tuning into your subconscious and connecting to the universe all with one simple chant. It doesn't get better than this.

  • Indeed.

  • @ScaredPiglet Meditation is the only thing that truly tunes into the subconscious and connects to the universe.Chanting can only do so much in the universe but meditation is the thing that rids our lives of suffering and rids our mind of evil(negative thoughts and actions so on)....

  • My uncle told me about this particular chant. He said it was Japanese

  • Yes, Buddhism has had a long journey from India and spread all the way around the globe.

  • Hello again Namaste! It is good to see another one of your wonderful chanting videos! The last video that I've viewed for quite a while I've been so used to watching and hearing you chant with your partner! I've been sort of a bad scout if you will because I've taken myself away from chanting on a nightly basis for the last three weeks! Yup, shame on me! But, no worries! In my heart and soul chanting has been a means for inner healing and peace of mind! Thank you my friend! Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

  • I always tell people if I was into religion, it would be something over East, cause here in the West we got it all backwards. Ive always had an affinity towards Buddism, something about it resonates with me a lot.

I look forward to your next video about chanting and how it manifests things for you in your life.

    Namaste
