It's no good trying to shield your daughter from certain realities, such as normal people can see through your little propaganda piece. Your daughter turned on you, Keith. The other video shows you had to bribe her to get her to read your script. A little payoff, perhaps? The real lesson you taught your daughter is that she can say anything as long as the price is right.

I met Gillian and her Dad today. Sure she was reading a script but she also seemed rather smart for her age and assuming she didn't understand any of what she read would be underestimating her intelligence.

You can argue her father's decision, but if he'd read it do you think anyone would be interested? If you have an important message to deliver you have to find inventive ways to do it. I doubt a couple minutes on a Youtube video is going to hurt her.

The kid is cute, but the local news says Daddy actually scripted the speech and got Gillian to do it by bribing her with a toy. I really question the sincerity of people who say they're "concerned" about the environment. Are the willing to walk the talk and make true sacrifices? Like sacrificing the gas guzzling trucks and SUVs?. And why oh why aren't environmentalist and "concerned" citizens overlooking a key factor in global warming - that being over population?
