  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This is great!

  • Too many comments to review, so maybe someone's pointed it out already...Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hoople on guitar and vocals at stage left

  • AWESOME!!!

  • This is the first time I had seen this too!!! And like alexandriabay1 I have the Solo's too! I am FLOORED and IN LOVE and AMAZED! This Concert is AWESOME! OMG! For starting out as a Boot, and cleaned up a bit? It's GREAT! I Love You David! There is no other guitarist or person close than you.

  • @elise754 I agree 100% I wish he would tour again !!

  • This is the 1st time i've seen this. Amazing. I have both of his solo albums. To me they are timeless. David is sooo talented, vocals, lyrics, the melodies for each song. Pink Floyd were timeless, such creativity and talent, mesmerizing melodies. I especially find his facial expressions very neat when only the music is being played--- he really and truly gets into it. There will never be another David Gilmore or another Pink Floyd.

  • The idea of Clapton replacing Gilmour is comical. What was Waters thinking? Anyway, this is a gem !!! A truly priceless video of the great man !!!!

  • @darley1958 Don't knock it, I saw that Pros and Cons show and it was great. EC was a big influence on DG.

  • great "lost treasure"!!! thanks, live songs from "About Face" are soooo hard to find!

  • Seen this tour. Great quality film...thanks for putting it out here.

  • Chris Slade ex-drummer from AC/DC ??????!??!?!

  • This sounds HUGE!!!!

  • WONDERFUL

  • @ThePhoenixWithinUs

and kahler tremolo system on black strat. only in 1984 ;)

  • @VVetDreamer Kahler = Good times ; )

  • I was there that night - it was every bit as fantastic as you'd imagine.

  • @zzippyman1 I was at the Dublin concert on 31 March '84. Kate Bush was there in a blond wig, at the mixing desk. Some Irish bloke kept yelling Murder, Murder! in his thick Irish accent, & Dave replied..'really? oh dear!' Great gig, then went to see Roger Waters some weeks later in London doing Pros & Cons. Love Dave's guitar playing!!! which I missed at the Roger Waters gig. Eric Clapton, was AWFUL, despite him being a brilliant guitairist as well. Pity Dave won't reform with Waters.

  • @nottingtohide We had a similar time in 1984 then - I too saw the Pros & Cons gig at Earls Court and have to agree about Clapton's playing, it was lifeless and sounded......er.....just wrong. Dave Gilmour was sorely missed. Loved this Hammersmith gig though, it was a real treat to see Roy Harper and Nick Mason. Happy days...

  • Espectacular show ,un valioso tesoro audiovisual

  • questi sono artisti della musica ce poco da dire.

  • Nobody can do a show like the Pink Floyd shows. WONDERFUL CONCERT! For me, the Comfortably Numb solo is the best in the world.

    Greetings from Chile !

  • I wish that David Gilmour would produce an official DVD of if concert with the 2 videos and the BEYOND THE FLOYD, just like the vhs release. Of course, there should be extra songs that were not on the vhs release.

  • Wonderful Concert!!! Incredible David Gilmour!

  • there is a better bootleg of this video, im pretty sure there is a definitive edition of it

  • Amazing tenor voice from Gregg

  • grazie immensamente!!!!!

  • Despite my suspicions it is not Rick Wright on keys :( Great footage of some awesome early DG work!

  • I lived in San Diego in 1984 and was a big Gilmour fan. I can't believe that I missed this show! What was I thinking?

  • Anyone notice the other guitar player is Mick Ralphs from Bad Company? Saw this tour at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in California way back then. Pretty awesome show.

  • awesome! thanks for posting..(.I do agree with EpilPstandard..sax no good on this one.)

  • Chris Slade on the drums....gotta love it!!

  • @mikejb48 That dude has played with EVERYBODY and is like a fucking chameleon....he'll blend in with anything!! Love it!!

  • 53:00

  • aw... putting sax in There's no way out of here wasn't too good. I love that song, but I believe this is not a saxophone song. Don't ger me wrong - i like that instrument, but it sounds bad here. That's my opinion.

  • Awesome! Thanks for posting this!

  • sweet , thanks a lot

  • I saw this at the Universal Amphitheatre in CA! Saw Roger's Pros & Cons that year too...my first Pink Floyd Live experiences! Then of course, saw them in 87 & 94!

  • @pinkusfloydian I was at the Pros and Cons show too at the Forum in 84, still have the program! Roger opened with Welcome To The Machine and also played Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun and several other "oldies" THAT, was a great show too!

  • Very good !!!!

  • Bobby Ball on keyboards !! LMAO... thanks for the upload, good job as usual mate

  • one word wow

  • Genius At Work!!!

  • Gimour made a mistake on the lyric of Run like hell =P! Great great show, really good sound, thanks GilmourTrueHD ;)

  • @aloneintheshadow450 Yes, that's the reason why it hasn't been rereleased officially on dvd yet. :( Pink Floyd and their members have always been perfectionists really. A mistake shows that they are human like everyone else.

  • @SilverTounge85 Seriously :O

It's sure that there are perfectionist, we just have to listen official dvd Pulse and the Bootleg of the same night, it's pretty good but not as perfect as the official release. I wonder why they don't do the same thing ^^

However a great great show and really rare!

  • Nick seems different

  • 1:00:12 is Gilmour shredding?Never thought that i would see that!

  • @ilijad No he doesn't shredd haha ;)

But you can see him made tapping on "On the turning away" and Sweeping on "Yet Another Movie" ;)

  • I remember watching this in Germany when it first came out. Good memories of days gone by.

  • maybe is because it is the last I heard but the final solo from Comfortably numb is amazing....

  • The mind blowing awesomeness that is David Gilmour ... Thanks for posting

  • gracias macho

  • Tnx for this dude.

  • por favor decime como puedo conseguir este material. excelente!!!!

  • There's No Way Out Of Here - sounds awful with the sax! Great vid though!

  • Chris Slade on drums? The rest of the Band?

  • @ANGULOELMALO 1:00:22

  • Yeah, Nick Mason!

Also, I hate the bloody eighties. That version of Comfortably Numb has to be one of the worst I've ever heard...well, Dave saves the day, but the bassist/keyboardist have no idea how to sing the song.

  • @lptomtom Unfortunately Floyd continued with that version through until the Division Bell tour. Horrible verse vocals aren't they?

  • @tompoynton The very definition of "cheesy"...yeah, that's the eighties for you: the handheld keyboard solo is another awkward moment you wouldn't normally expect from a Gilmour gig. He redeemed himself in the 00's though, with Gdansk being a fine example!

  • @lptomtom

Its just a cover. They dont sing it bad, they just reinterpret the song as they want.

  • DG 4ever!!!

  • Wow, he's got D'Artagnan as a backing singer!

  • Excellent

  • Awesome! Thanks for uploading this!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic...vibrant....optimist...

    Thanks a lot!

  • Let me buffer this out for a little bit:) Wouldn't want any interruptions now would we:)

  • Thank you :-)

  • Needs more 80s

  • Das ist der absolute Hammer...Ich kannte das nicht!! Höre das zum ersten Mal!!

    Einfach Genial..Vielen Dank You Tube!!S.

  • Another great upload. Thank you...

  • I've been looking for a copy for a few years. I saw this video growing up in Chattanooga after the Blockbuster opened at Northgate. I had a cassette copy for my walkman. PERFECT for working on a project . BTW, that was 20 or 21 years ago.
