probably because you got some vulcanized emericas, like i said get the Reynolds 2 if you like lighter shoes and the Reynolds 1 (if you can find them) if you are aiming for durability, trust me the Reynolds 1 are old school bulky and lil heavy and have the rubber around the toes but they will last you forever and skate perfectly, garnteed. i got 11 pairs of the Reynolds 2 and 5 of the Reynolds 1 and another pair comming in the mail, i know what i'm talking about man.
