I love Suikoden dearly. This was the first game series where I felt like what I did in previous installments actually carried over.

I love that I got to recruit Tir because I had a save at the very end of Suikoden 1 in Gregminster (with Gremio still alive); I love that my Suikoden II castle & army names, my main character's name, and my actions carried over to Suikoden III (with some hilarious scripts to perform).

I have every single game in the series, and it's worth every cent.

The BEST Strategy that worked for me for defeating him is equipping fire emblems on all the characters that I will use to attack him

Not bad, but why does Viktor have a Lightning rune? Lol, he's much better off with something stat-boosting or at least Titan for a last resort.

Also, use Protect Mist! It has a 20% chance of foiling Luca's insane flame attacks and was a life saver for me in these battles.

you probably knew this already, but if you use the earth and fire rune in 1 round, they unite together and takes MAJOR damage

it's not just earth and fire you can do it with all 5 elementals

fire + lightning

fire + earth

water + wind (damage on this one isnt great but it heals and gets rid of those crap lv4 spells on the water and wind runes)

Water + lightning (this is the best for single targets. heal + major damage)

wind + earth

this can be especially handy when you need firepower for an annoying boss. but Luca has good defence so the magic wont be as effective

against luca, the earth and fire combo can do a minimum of 1300 damage

this battle so easy, you know:

put the horse (forgot the name) and Feather ,

do their unite attack on Luca and its all you need!

(of course,dont let them get kiled)

for Georg you can recruit him after you've completed your work in Tinto, just go back along the mountain path from Tinto.

Mazus you can't get him until your castle reaches level 4 which will be after the battles at Greenhill (depending on how many character's you've recruited
