Alright there! Have you tried - fast abs magic (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 got hot 6 pack abs and lost crazy amounts of fat with it.
My question is the same as divdawgd. I know that men and women have different needs when it comes to exercising, weight loss, and muscle toning. I just joined planet fitness and started PT classes this week. At home routines , in addition to the gym, would be nice but not sure what to do.
@lamdaguy Yes it does! If you are a beginner. Men typically are more excited to lift heavy weights than women. I just try to tailor my programs to people so that they will want to do the workouts! The only difference is weight. Also, check out my video about "How many reps should you do?" However, as a beginner this is a good start. If you can do regular pushups go for it! Use weights that burn by the last rep!
hi,I'm 13,and I really like the exercises you're doing.
I've discovered them now 10 minutes ago,and I have to say that they are really worth trying : )
Next Year,I'm going to join the High School, and I'd like to loose some weight,I have 167.2 and 5.57 feet,I'd LOVE to loose weight, but I don't want to gain muscles on my arms, only on my feet.I was wondering how much weight I have to loose so that i can be considered 'normal' :P
Hi Sarah. Began working out 2 weeks ago and lost 3.7 lbs (yeah for me!). Trouble is I'm not familiar with equipment to do strength/weight training and all I do use is the elliptical (20 min, 1.5 miles) and treadmill (20 min, 1 mile). I'm 44 yrs old and started off at 212, so 40 lbs would be FANTASTIC! I would sure love to hear about a workout routine for month one, month two etc. Thanks!
this is exactly what i needed, a plan laid out clearly, you get to the gym and there's so many machines that you don't know where to start! v.helpful thanks!
Sarah and everyone else, I am 43 years old and I weigh 178 lbs and I am only 5'1" I am in the obese range for my height. I want to get healthy but have NO MONEY for a gym membership as my husband was laid off in May and I, as a substitute teacher, have not had an income all summer and have yet to get called to teach this year. I am not motivated to get up off of the couch physically even though mentally I am very motivated. I want to do this but don't know that I will. So sad.
ok, i think im going to do this. im ready to commit. i never thought i had the willpower to chage how i eat, but i have been the last week. it's not as hard as I thought. im ready to do some exercise now. im thinking i might vlog my weight loss...and use your workout routines. i have to lose like 80-100 pounds.
hey everyone we can do this ive exercised every single week for five days like sarah recommended and eat healthy no fad diets. and in almost 3 months ive lost 22 pounds i am so happy..i still have to lose 20 t0 30 more pounds to be healthy for my age but i know that i can do it since i already lost some..its easy dont give up you just have to eat healthy and and get off your butts ok ..GOOD LUCK
Thank you Sarah, this workout looks to be about my speed. :). I haven't worked out in years and I'm horribly out of shaped and needed to know where to begin. You are a God send. Thanks.
Hey Sarah, you gave a range for heart rates, but what if you naturally have a rapid heartbeat? One of my medications raises my pulse so my resting pulse is actually about 120. Should I still follow the guide that you gave or is that assuming that your resting pulse is lower than mine is? (don't worry, I've had an EKG and there's nothing wrong with my heart!) I want to lose about 30 more pounds so I know I need to start exercising! Thanks for this advice in the video!!
@xxbeautybabesxx There is another formula that I can give you if you know your resting heart rate called the karvonen formula, it takes into account your resting like I said.
Sarah, I'm quite chubby myself, but I have some issues into doing exercice, since I finish school at around 4:30 PM, it's already getting dark, it's cold and i come really tired to have a walk around te street. I cannot afford for fitness classes either. Do you have some ideas of exercices I could do at home without the need of any special fitness equipment?
By the way, I'm 5'3 and weight 154 lbs, I feel quite uncomfortable with my weight, I wish to lose 22 lbs. Can you help me? Thank you. =)
Sarah! Thank you so much! I can't wait to see what else you've come up with. I think that what you provide to the YouTube community is invaluable. There are so many of us out here that want to get healthier but are not really sure what to do! Your channel and videos really help with that and the boredom that can come from the same workout day after day. Thank you again and keep up the great work!!!!!!
This is a great video. I'm trying to lose 60 lbs or more :). I think I'm good with the cardio but i have trouble with the strength training. I don't go to a gym, so i do my cardio at home in my apartment building. I utilize the stairs by trying to see how many flights I can walk up and then I walk around the hallways. (sounds crazy but its cold outside) Looking forward to your next video on strength training.
sara what's the best way to learn how to squat? i have been asking this question all over youtube and other sites and no one answers me. i have about 100 pounds to loose..and i have been doing power90 and the squats hurt my knees, plus i feel like i am gonna fall over when i try them.
Actually we did one on DietHealth! You may not be able to do it, but another way to try, is to put a physio ball (big exercise ball) between your back and up against a wall. Leaning back on the ball so it doesn't slip out, bend your knees lowering towards the ground just a few inches and put back up. Don't worry about how low you get, but make sure you are far away enough from the wall, your knees stay behind your toes.
@SarahsFabChannel thank you. i'll have to get one of those balls. i tried it by using a towel on the wall..i was able to slide down a little but then i couldnt get back up lol.
hi, I hope you don't mind me answering you but I have about 10-20lbs to lose and squats hurt my knees to, they always have even when I was lighter!
so it's not because of your weight, I suggest when you do the squats to not go as low .. just do a little bit but I usually do different exercises when i'm supposed to do the squats.
the pain comes from liquid in your knees (at least in my case) so I can't really help it :) hope I helped a bit
I have 80lbs I want to lose, how many calories should I be eating a day? And do you suggest going to a gym or even somewhere like a YMCA. my main concern is I havent worked out ever so i'm at a loss for the types of exersises besides walking that are going to help me shed pounds.
