I loved the interview, but I found it a little ironic for Natalie to be criticizing the ballet industry for keeping women like little girls and all of the pressure on them to be so thin and not have breasts or hips, and it's it's like yeah, okay, little Miss Hollywood size 0. What she said about ballet is true, but I've also heard her really build up ballet and say that it's such a beautiful art.

The dancing is a great essence of the movie but it's really about her (Natalie Portman) character development. How she the white swan embodies the black swan. Easy.

this movie is EASILY one of the best films i've seen in YEARS. as a general rule, i don't like most movies, but this film was BRILLIANT! i took a student/friend of mine to see the film. she knows nothing about ballet, but the movie changed her life when she saw her own neuroses reflected in Portman's character. she even identified with the glass in her stomach!
