LOL i killed the orc that was in the hall at around 5pm (just before i got into the room, and a guard through the door was trying to kill me and they all teamemd up on him and killed him , it was hillarious XD

so here's what happened, i did everything, got into the room, used stark reality, and then i lost all my stuff except quest items, i tried it again to see if i could put the items in a cupboard, but they still dissapeared, what in the hell do i do?

@thisaintyoaccount Yes, you notice that all your equipment will dissapear, but no worries. Just have everything on you and don't bother to do something that I did. I threw it all on the floor in my house and it stayed there. When you finish the quest he will say "Outstanding work effort, all your equipment is in the chest over there."

Guys if you dont want to do this long boring quest and just get the staff. On a PC version of oblivion... Type in coc testinghall. Search around the place until you find a room with alot of crates... Then look for the crate with all staves.... Then just simply search in that crate for the staff.

You may be able to change the quest stage to were you just accepted it inn the console, that is if your on a pc. But remember to save often, Oblivion is not a game to be trusted:P

@evilvicking when i did it the countess wasn't there either you wait until the next day at about 630 and the dinner party will still be going on, you just have to be there when the countess walks in around 715 730. You can wait as many days as you need to until you get it right its a never ending dinner party
