Am I the only one that finds this "horse" creepy? You can't beat the real thing. Sure this teaches the rider, but what happens when she gets on a horse that rears, bucks, or bolts?

@rosiejuly3 While it is creepy, I think it is primarily just to work the muscles in your legs and help fix your position. I have a mini one (just the seat), and I use that to work my calves, although I ride real horses too. It's fun:P

I see the purpose of something like this for practice every once in a while, but why replace REAL flesh and blood horses with a machine? Part of the joy of horses is bonding and building relationships with them- you cant replace that with a machine.

The machine acts like a perfectly schooled horse with no mistakes what so ever. A real horse might have been trained wrong and, for example, picks up the right lead when you step into the inside stirrup. The mechanical horse will pick up the incorrect lead and is in a since training you how to correctly ask for the right lead the correct way.

This is just for refining the rider's aids to make sure they are correct :)
