  • It's not a 6 but could be an 8 or even a 10 I don't think it's a 12 I've got one too

  • Master Parrella: we are a black belt school!

Bruce Lee: the only thing belts are good for is holding up your pants!

  • Definitely don't try this before you've found a shirt as "awesome" as mine ahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

  • il fait que parler

  • That picture on his tshirt certainly goes with the whole kung-fu theme... sickens me.

  • I believe that he mentions starting out with a grip higher up on the handle of the hammer so that you can build the muscle and control to not smash your face when you hold the hammer farther down the handle.

  • Hammer Smashed Nose

  • Hey I just tried this, and broke my nose. My attorney needs to get in touch with you...

  • crap

  • That's an 8 pound sledge hammer. They only make 8, 10, 14, and 20's. Good exercise though. With an 8lbs

  • LOL omg.. i've bet sooo many people have smashed their noses trying this. haha.

    bravo.

  • Now I understand why fighters often have broken noses! It's because they don't have enough forearm strength so they let the sledgehammer drop on their noses.

  • "We are a Black Belt school" ?

  • bravo man!!!

that realy works cause you dont want the hammer smash your nose...:)

  • this is actually really good, im not a kung fu practictioner myself, but i found this to be a very effective workout for a very overlooked part of the body. thanks.

  • wud a machete work

  • very good this guy is for real i use to use sledge hammer at work good tool for fitness and strenghth

  • thats great strength im impressed

  • thanks man, interesting exercise

  • I really like everything I've seen from this guy-His stuff based in reality. Keep up the good work. I hope to see some more tips on grip training!

  • Wow, great exercise! thanks!

  • gas prices are too high, so I'm trying to save cash.. but in the mean time until I can scrap up for a sledgie... WILL A PICK AXE WORK ???? LOL

  • Just wondering but what's the average weight and inches from the sledge hammer that a normal man wrists can lever? Thanks

  • Nice clip I am going to start training with a sledge.

You know my sifu I think. David Rodgers.

I used to train with him. I competed in the world wushu games as his student.

    Thanks for the clip.

Do you actually hit a tire?

  • He's lying about the weight of that hammer. He says it's a 12lb hammer but it's obviously a 6lb hammmer. Good instructional but I know bullshit when I see it. I worked out with a 12lb hammer long enough to know the difference, I assure you.

  • No, he's not! LOL, I don't even know of anywhere that sells 6 lbs sledge hammers! Just because you are having trouble understanding it, doesn't mean it isn't true. But I do think you are on to something...after looking at the hammer after I read your post, it turns out that it is only a 10 lb. hammer, not a 12. I appreciate your effort, but you are very wrong about it being 6 lbs. I will be happy to take a clear picture of it and sent it to you. :)

  • having trouble understanding it? What is it exactly that I am missing? What element is that hammer made of because I have 8lb steel hammer that is bigger, and I'll take a picture of it for you...... and they actually do make a 6lb sledge.

  • How could you possibly tell if the hammer was bigger? What frame of reference to you have here? You don't know how tall I am or how much I weigh. What are you, like 12 years old? And the hammer is stamped with the weight. Send me your email address and I'll send you the pic. Don't be mad. Sorry if you can't lift a hammer this heavy, but that is life. Don't be upset. Just keep training. Thanks for your comments though. ;)

  • I do believe 'kungfu531' wins here.

  • man i like also this vid

do you have any website to visit

  • thanks

  • very good, although it is nothing compared to Slim the Hammer Man, it is still very good training exercise.

  • Hey man I really enjoyed this video and another I saw. It was helpful. I live out in LA, and I'm glad to see this online because I might not have known how to do it if not.

    Peace.

  • Glad it was helpful bro'

  • Wow, super-strength.

  • video posted

  • I liked your video. I understand now what you are asking me to do. I will not be able to 'kiss' the hammer if I do it your way, but I will post it up as well. Also, why don't you raise the hammer like I do?? And watch how slow I bring it down and hold it. Let me know how it works out for you.

    M

  • sure, I was just being a dick and had nothing else better to do. Good stuff.

  • real video coming soon

  • Look forward to it.

  • arm is too low, hand must be atleast shoulder height

  • You've obviously never done it. My arm isn't LONG ENOUGH to hold my fist at shoulder height, lol. If I don't bring my hand lower, I won't be able to touch my nose. Maybe if I had a shorter handle, but that would change the weight.

  • mr. kunkfu, I will have a video up especially for you after feb 27th/28. Go to slim the hammer.

  • If I keep my hand shoulder height, and I certainly can, the hammer will be past my head. How long is your arm??

  • It's a 12lb sledge.

  • It looked so light

  • that's what most people say..lol

  • luks easy but only the person hu does it knos the difficuilty...BTW hw much does tat thing weigh....coz i kno Bruce Lee can lift almost 75 lbs with 1 hand....whoa tats amazing....n he too blieved tat strength doesnt com frm muscles but tendons!!!

  • i so wanna see the out takes

    assuming there are any :p
