  • what would be the best number of hertz for gaming like first person shooting because my friend has a tv and its a mili second slow

  • The human eye can only register 60-85Hz. So buying anything above that is a waste of money. Yeah, maybe the T.V. can put out more, but your eye can't pick it up, so you won't see the difference. Any comment on this?

  • @ChevyPower698 not sure. I though in equivalent frames a human can subconsciously see over 200 frames. A 60hz strip light in the office doesn't flicker to the naked eye but your brain registers it and that's why low refresh CRT and these lights gives you a headache. Not saying an LCD flickers at 60 frames, they don't but the frame pauses are noticeable and reduce the smoothness of the overall picture. Personally im happy with 75hz and just want LCD smear gone for good !

  • How about hdtvs that state they are 50 hertz? Are they any good for gamin on console eg ps3?

  • 120hz for gaming is smoother? but more artifacts and more input lag so you lose more.

  • @meggerman 120hz decreases mouse lag since it can refresh more under the same vertical sync. Artifacts are created by a failing GPU.

  • @Mailrobot You mean console games, right?

  • So is 60mh good for gaming?? I can get a 42" 1080p for onlyy $390 but would be no use to me if i couldnt game ! Please respond! :)

  • 1:05 He's gotta be kidding. The same multiple of 24?

    60hz is not a multiple of 240hz?

  • @milodaman2 60hz x 4 = 240hz....maybe that's what he meant

  • @milodaman2 he said,24pfs(original movie frames/s) x 10 =240Hz

  • thank u

  • awwww ive upset her .. sorry sean :'( and to Mailrobot the Panaonics Plasmas 600hz subfield is 10 ubfields @ 60hz/subfield making them perfect for a game like Call of Duty Black Ops which runs at 60fps

  • Actually, I have read that for gaming, since games are natively 30fps, 120hz would create lag input, making 60hz the best setting for video games.

  • I Play Black Ops on a Panasonic G10 lemme tell you phenominal my k/d is 3.45 win ratio 5.11 sens @ 7 connected with monster 17g transfer cables standard cat 5 ethernet 5ft by far the best gaming tv ive had/used.. used aquos 120, used aquos lcd with 4ms refresh rate, sasung dlp, used viewsonic, ive used a handfull of tv's and no lie G10 hands down the best.

  • @m3dication NO ONE CARES !!

  • i have a question does sony motion flow isit hz or is not hz at all. is just what know because if is not refreshing frames per second.

  • as a gamer willing to spend around £150 for a monitor which is a good one and what hz should i look for?

  • @BnSversion2 You want Best respone time! Tv Hz technolgy will actually cause screen Lag.

My advise is look on overclockers.co.uk

  • i have a 1080p samsung 120hz. And everytime i play a blue ray movie in my ps3 it will play the movie at 24hz. is there a way how to watch the movie at 60hz or even at 120hz. or denpending on my hdmi cable. let me know soon pleae

  • Is Hertz important for gaming?,, And is there much different about 100 hertz or 200 or 600 hertz?

  • @UTube4588 damn i wanna know the same thing

  • @killerkhalsa27 i bought an tv with 200 hertz, and it looks great for watching tv and for gaming.

But i dont know of i looks better if you buy an tv with 600 hertz,, btw i have the Sony 37EX720(BEAP).

    It's a great tv

  • @UTube4588 but do u play cod and i play on a 10 senseitivity with a kdr of 1.83 i dont want it to go down =(

  • @killerkhalsa27 Yes is play Cod Black ops, But why should ur K/D goes down because of another tv?, Srry for bad english.

  • @UTube4588 because i play terrible on flatscreens in general but i play good on standard crt's but now i gotta get a led tv and i wanna know whats the best hertz for a tv for cod

  • @killerkhalsa27 I dont know, sorry, search it on google, maybe you can find it there..

  • @UTube4588 its okay i just got a crt toshiba

  • @UTube4588 yes plasmas are better for gaming than LCD or LEDs

  • @UTube4588 yes in gaming it isnt capped to a certain picture count per second so you can have the bigger the better. Hope that helped :)

Its a HUGE diference from 60hz to 120hz when playing fps games

  • HAHA Random Evangelion shot in there, Asuka Langley FTW ^_^

  • it makes special effects in movies look fake.

  • @kirbienstien What are you exactly referring to?

  • @QUIKKSTAR whoops. interpolation

  • @kirbienstien thats 240hz

  • just get a plasma the new model really don't get burn in and if you play at night just turn the cell brightness down to about half and you won't have any problems. I have a samsung 50inch plasma and i love it.

  • What TV is better for gaming Vizio or Sony?

  • @whataboutblank Sony for me.

  • @whataboutblank vizio for sure!

  • What is the best tv...around 36 -42 inch for competitive gaming?

  • @TDWPMegalomaniaTDWP 32" all mlg turny are played on 20" no lag tvs

  • LOL, one guy don't like HDTV because he use Old TV!

  • auska!!!

  • Im fine with my 60 hz. and when im wathing movies they are more epic to watch then in fast moving frames..but thats just my opinion..lol

  • @G1st For gaming , low hz is always bad. I just changed from 60hz to 120hz recently. I PWN!

  • @G1st Yes. When I had 60hz (3-4weeks ago) I thought like naaah 120hz is marketing BS. Well I had to buy a monitor for my new pc and I bought a 120hz gaming monitor and I have to say, there's no going back now. :DDDD

  • @hunterto99 Every 120hz tv I've used lags so bad it makes games unplayable.

  • @S0ryiu Who said im using TV? TV at 120hz is terrible tv, because it haves input lag.

  • @hunterto99 Because this is a video about TVs... instead of backtracking I just assumed you were talking about televisions.

  • @hunterto99 PC's have it's own interpolation modes so a 120hz doesn't effect it in a negative way. Now 120hz with an actual game console is not good and inputs lag because its wayyy too many hz for the output of 60 fps games which is the standard in the US. Don't get too happy about your 120hz monitor asshole

  • @QUIKKSTAR You're a smart guy. Insult and false information is the best.

  • @hunterto99 Insult? Yes! False information?... please enlighten me-

  • these guys need pussy

  • it will cost me $250 more to get an LED with 120 hzs and 20 times the contrast ratio(140,000 compared to 3,000,000. IS IT WORTH IT?!?!

  • @gr743g43ggfb4 thise cibtrast ratios are exaggerated, manufacturers use different scales to measure their ratios so one can claim a 100,000 ratio while another claims a 3,000 ratio but the 3,000 one has a better black level because it used a smaller scale to measure by. (samsung is the worse about lying wbout contrast ratio, I'd suggest you look at cnet to get the truth.)

  • what about the lag ppl say their is on the hdtv

  • @coltonte3 there definitly is look up a few on the LG website

  • wtf is up with these mother fucking ads

  • i just got a samsun gand it said it was 600 hz

  • Just got a 200 Hz, 32", 1080p, LCD for my bedroom

  • @TVTacon there is no 200 Hz

  • 120 Hz LCD's almost always are horrible for gaming because the interpolation processing done by the TV adds input lag (the time difference between pushing a button on the controller and actually seeing it happening on the TV). "Game mode" on these TV's bypasses 120 Hz interpolation and other image processing bringing the input lag down, but then again it is the same as a 60 Hz television at that point, while usually STILL having higher input lag.

  • i have a 60hz when i watch a movie i get double layer on people only people i just hate it i try to fix it but i can't figure it out how to make smooth ... but when i play games its ok wtf ... if its the hz i need a new tv Im mad

  • What about LED tv`s with 120hz vs 60hz can someone answer that or is the same as LCD ?

  • I still greatly prefer watching in the native 24 frames per second. You can't beat seeing a movie the way the director intended it. It also elminates all of the artifacts intoducted by the processing.

  • plasma is horrible for gaming. weak whites and theyre very prone to burn ins even after the break in period. i had a samsung 50 plasma 1080. I cant even watch food network or cnbc or play my xbox! wtf. Just bought a samsung 46 120hz 1080p yesterday and it kills the plasma in almost every way (except size).

  • @TurtLePimpin Yes I agree Plasma's are horrible mine only lasted 3 years and when ever I Used my PS3 the picture lagged and it left ghostmarks that would last for hours even after turning off the tv

  • or you could just spend less and get 600hz subfield

  • @miasmablk everyone told me that plamas is bad for gaming (sure gets better picture) because of the image burn in that would occur.

My friends with plasma almost all had clouds of red on the screen.

Video games usually have always lit cells so would burn images faster.

  • > bleach. Wat?

  • man you guys helped soo much!! thank you!!

  • why does it say follow and not subscribe?

  • yep 120 hz is better than 60 hz :P

and in england 50 hz is not as good as 100 hz

    :p

  • @sweetypie000

    MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCHHHH better

  • @sweetypie000 - How is it better?
