ELO fan since 1975, and this song is one of Jeff Lynne's best among dozens of great songs. A truly gifted musician/songwriter/visionary. If I were to meet him in person I'd thank him for all the pleasure listening to his work has given me over the years.

Today, my youngest (and last) daughter got married. her and my new son-in-law chose this, one of my favorite ELO songs, to dance to as their "wedding dance". Half way through, my son-in-law offered my daughters hand to me and said "This is for you to finish, Dad". I finished the dance with tears streaming down my face. I am THE proudest Dad on earth right now!

This is an extended version not featured in the film (the film cut is only about 2 minutes). I was going through a trying time with my wife when the movie came out. This song was the superglue that kept us together and is to this day although she has passed to the next life 8(

I miss her and God bless the genius of Jeff Lynne for keeping her alive and with me always. Someday we will listen to this together again and forever. R.I.P., Hummin'-bird!
