I remember the day Charlie Swartz unloaded the awesome wedge car with Goodyear Tires and completely run off with the race. He had to use a six foot step ladder to get into the car. Wow those were the days!
My buddys and I have been to West Virginia Motor Speedway, Bluegrass Speedway, and K-C Raceway to see the Dirt Track World Championship after Pennsboro closed. These other tracks were cool but there was something special about that track in the hills of West Virginia. Hopefully one day,800 horsepower late models will invade Ritchie County ounce again for $50,000 and we all will expierence the magic of Pennsboro once again!
This is great watching some old heats from Pennsboro. I was there to see Marshall Green and Bart Hartman win the Dirt Track World Championship. Memories that I will never forget! I sure hope the track will have 800 horsepower late models batteling it out for $50,000 again someday.
