Try a primer which can fill up your pores. for example i use MAC Matte for that and it works pretty well!

She put Pearl as her high light then Hush under it.  It won't "blend" away it'll just blend the top of the hush and bottom of the pearl together so it doesn't look like 2 lines on her face:)
